Dispatches from Birtherstan - for 30 June 2010

In today's dispatches, we have two PUMA birthers, one being Constitutional Hydrologist "Dr. Kate", the other being a big ol' fan and cheerleader of Walter Fitzpatrick. World Nut Daily lies (in related news the sky is blue and the sun comes up in the East). More news about Fitzpatrick - with more evidence of his mental instability. Pancake painter Dan Lacey gets an interview. LorenC takes Polland / Polarik out to the woodshed. We have Dr. Orly's complaint in Taitz v Dunn. Meanwhile Dr. Orly seems to be seeing uncounted ballots everywhere.

25 June - PUMA birther "Dr. Kate" has a new idea to get Obama out of office. The "death of a thousand cuts"

"The last year and a half of the Obama administration has been like experiencing razor cuts to the psyche and everything we know as ‘American’. And no more hand wringing or wondering why…this is intentional. It is sickening."

Translation - "Wahhh! That uppity darkie is STILL THERE!! Dear Hillary SHOULD HAVE BEEN THERE!!!! Wahhhhh!"

"Our effort must be to bring down this regime through the death of a thousand cuts.

Some recent ideas crossing the threshold:

Retired General Paul Vallely calls for Obama/Soetoro’s resignation. Building on the military oath of office, the General states that “We cannot permit the current leaders in the White House and Halls of Congress to continue in their efforts to lead us down the road of Progressive Socialism and destruction of America. This is the current battle that we Constitutionalists face and we must be aggressive in our efforts. Incompetence, Deceit, Fraud, Corruption, Dishonesty and Violation of the US Constitution of officials now come into play as relates to our National Character, National Security, Economy and the Nation’s well-being and is the rationale for resignations. Demand Resignation of derelict officials by the people of this country in now required. Where is our Moral Compass?"

Because it's every right-wing crank's sacred duty to ignore the Constitution when someone they don't like is in office.

"Mass demonstrations at the Pentagon, Congress and the Supreme Court, focusing solely on Obama’s ineligibility, to demand the military and congress uphold their oath of office by investigating Obama."

Dispatches from Birtherstan - for 29 June 2010

Bit of a quiet day among the birtherstanis, but The Pest and eFail continues their whining and pleading for the military to PLEASE ignore the Constitution and throw that uppity darkie out of the WHITE House. Including using Polarik's fake Hawaiian COLB as "proof", which makes it - much like crab lice - the gift that keeps on giving. World Nut Daily continues to push the Tim Adams story, and continues to ignore the white nationalist ties, credibility gap, and all around inability to add up in his claims. Dr. Orly challenges Damon Dunn in court for daring to get more votes than she did. Walter Fitzpatrick appears in court and - literally - disgraces the uniform he once wore. And the percentages continue to be against Dr. Orly.

27 June - Arnie Rosner at the Pest and eFail pens another whine / demand letter to Admiral Michael Mullen of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

"At exactly what point is the precarious balance tipped, the point at which a dedicated, courageous, fiercely loyal, conscientious military leader, a distinguished leader with an insatiable love for this country, a respected leader with a highly-developed sense of loyalty, respect and appreciation for the balance required to maintain the equilibrium of justice and reason between the forces of good and evil, the forces of public and political opinion and the rights of freedom guaranteed by the founding documents by which previous generations of our military guardians have successfully guided our way for over 200 years?"

The point that said military leader refuses to overthrow the civilian government and a democratically-elected President on the demands of a few conspiracy-minded buffoons?

He then cites not one, not two, BUT three Ron Polland / Polarik YouTube videos as "proof". More to the point, the third one is Polland / Polarik's "Blue Hawaii" video, with the COLB that Polland / Polarik claimed was made from Janice Okubo's COLB in the video - the one that he faked and later claimed was "just a demonstration" on Free Republic when caught.

"Of course, the fact that Mr. Obama now openly embraces what appears to be the Islamization of our nation, when before the election he presented himself as a Christian, should begin to wave a caution flag."

Dispatches from Birtherstan - for 26 - 28 June 2010

Been an interesting few days in Birtherstan. We have a video of a birther making a pain of himself at a sports bar. The RAPmasters are busy making up new dungburgers for the faithful to swallow. Ron Polland / Polarik is trying desperately to cover his ass on Free Republic, with a few freepers actually waking up to reality. Sharon Meroni starts a petition (and a sickening website to boot), and makes a claim about a member of the House of Representatives that may have been divorced from reality. Motions are filed in the Jones v Obama birther case.

The Pest and eFail actually demands to know the exact date and time that the military rises up to destroy the Constitution and overthrow the US Government (which they see as a good thing it seems). Some of Sharon Meroni's past messages come up, and shows that not only did she have PUMA leanings, but she has a long consistent history of being wrong. We have a video with Lucas Smith's fake Kenyan birth certificate, the Pest and eFail does a mutual-masturbation session with Sharon Meroni where we find out why she's using questionable images to pimp her agenda. One of Lucas Smith's buddies may have been outed.

Dr. Orly fires off Yet Another Round in the birtherstani civil wars. And Walter Fitzpatrick gives a statement that is defiant as it is incoherent - which might be because his latest court appearance may not have gone well for him.

19 June - Los Angeles Birther rudeness during the World Cup.

24 June - The RAPmasters are still spewing their crazy mad plan to the more gullible elements of Birtherstan. One of the latest being an order to Flordia and Louisiana's governors.

"Apparently the de jeur grand jury told the Florida Governor to do something about the oil spill. This was done with the Louisiana Governor as well by the Louisiana de jeur Grand Jury. They are demanding the Florida Governor to perform his fiduciary duties and protect the people of Florida."

Are they supposed to be scooping the oil out of the Gulf of Mexico with their own personal hands??

Dispatches from Birtherstan - for 23 - 25 June 2010

Been a busy few days in birtherstan. Dr. Orly still touts her vote count, which doesn't make any difference to her since she seems to believe the courts will throw out Dunn and Bowen and give her the Secretary of State position. The Pest and eFail are posting letters and articles all with a common theme - that the military violate the rule of law and the US Constitution, rise up and overthrow a democratically-elected President. And speaking of disregard for the Constitution and military coups, Walter Fitzpatrick is still spewing sedition and demanding the military follow his lead. Dr. Orly is trying to attach herself to any media source she can to get facetime with.

But the biggest news is Ron Polland / Polarik's latest "Bombshell", which seems to have blown up in his face in a big way.

23 June - Dr. Orly still thinks that the numbers mean more than the percentages. (malware and redirect)

"I HAVE NOW NEARLY HALF A MILLION VOTES, BY THE TIME ALL UNPROCESSED BALLOTS ARE COUNTED I SHOULD HAVE CLOSE TO 600,000 VOTES."

Which means nothing since Dunn still has 75% of the GOP vote, and Bowen has more than both your and Dunn combined.

Wow, the delusion here is incredible. The judges HAVE been following the law, it'd Dr. Orly and friends who have been ignoring it. She seems to think that voters be damned the courts should just anoint her Secretary of State and be done with it.

Democracy doesn't work that way Dr. Orly. I suspect if Bowen was disqualified, Evan L. Goldberg (Chief Deputy Secretary of State) would move up into the position and would hold it while a special election was held or the state Democratic Party nominated a replacement. And I suspect the state Republican Party wouldn't automatically give the nomination to someone who only got 25% of the vote.

Dr. Orly is, of course, clueless.

And an update......

Eye surgery went better than expected - except they only did the right eye rather than both. So I get to do this all again in August. (with a visual field test in July.)

Doctor said it was almost textbook results, and that the pressure check 45 minutes later showed low pressure AND the angles were wide open, showing pressure had equalized.

Should be back to snarking at birthers tomorrow :-)

Note to my readers

Due to my having eye surgery today (23 June 2010), there may or may not be updates for the next two days.

I am having laser iridotomy done as a preventive measure. Due to my family history and the fact I'm farsighted, there is an increased risk of what's called "closed angle glaucoma", which has a sudden onset, unlike open angle glaucoma.

If you're curious, this is what I get to look forward to today.

Quiet but crazy seems to be the order of the day in Birtherstan. Polland/Polarik seems to be editing history just a bit. Mr. Manning has a new video demanding Congress respect his authority (and that of his fake trial). The Pest and eFail is chock full of extra treasonberries, nuts, and racist flakes. Officials in Honolulu point out that Tim Adams is being less than truthful. And we have some interesting research into the Sarah Obama interview and resulting testimonies. Or should I say testimony. Oh, and results show Dr. Orly Taitz is still losing in California.

21 June - Ron Polland/Polarik seems to like to edit history, claiming it wasn't that nasty "obot" Loren who outed him, nosiree, but rather our old friend Linda Starr Belcher.

Oh, and Loren posted his "Meet Ronald Jay Polland" post on 29 July 2009. And it's interesting to note that on 31 July 2009, Linda Starr actually denied outing "Polarik"

In today's dispatches, Dr. Orly continues to be the legal and human equivalent to a vuvuzela - high pitched, annoying, and basically useless.

Tim Adams gets on TV and shoots his own foot. Walter Fitzpatrick is annoyed that other right-wing parasites are milking his name to raise money. 25% is still 25% unless you're a nitrous-huffing dentist/lawyer with spiders glued to her eyelids. Sammie Sewell is flogging his own pony at Citizen Wells, with a trip back to see why Sammie used pop psychology to "prove" McCain would be the obvious winner in 2008.

The RAPmasters of Birtherstan are pumping out the lame-ass rhythms of the Sovereign Citizens homies, with a new magic flag to rid themselves of the evil fringe. JB Williams seems to be ignoring facts and reality - again, which has gotten the inmates at The Pest and eFail all hot and bothered. Dr. Orly creates a "Draft Orly" petition to support her failed 2012 run for Senate. And a tea party group just says "no" to birthers.

16 June - Dr. Orly starts a wordpress blog called "Draft Orly Taitz for Senate 2012", showing she's at least figured out the political technique called "astroturfing".

In today's dispatches, Dr. Orly makes an appearance in the comments at the PUMA off-shoot "The New Agenda". The "Restore America Plan" people are eating paste again. Steve Cooper grossly overestimates the power of the birthers. The Birtherstani civil war continues on, with Philip Berg complaining that Dr. Orly is acting.....well, like Dr. Orly. Though Dr. Orly is treating Philip Berg exactly the same as she does Barack Obama, so there's something to be said for karma. We get the charges against Walter Fitzpatrick - and his whine about them to boot. The math is against Dr. Orly in the California Secretary of State race, as is reality. And Dr. Orly tries to spin her Quo Warranto - just in time for Judge Lamberth to prove her wrong again.

15 June - The PUMA offshoot "The New Agenda" publishes an article on Chris Matthews.

And as the wonderful Betty Cracker, over at Rumproast, points out, they have an interesting commenter...

And the courts and election officials have already stated - repeatedly - he's not in violation of California law.

Well, two of your main targets are African-American men. You've said hateful things in the past about Hispanics, and have called for the extermination of Muslims. Plus you hang around with neo-Confederates. I can't see why anyone would call you "racist" (/sarcasm)

Almost done with the move, but the birtherstani never sleep. "Dr. Conspiracy" points out that all of us - birthers and debunkers - have the same person to "thank". Dr. Orly continues to fight the birther civil war. Lakin is upset because the US Army seems to think his behaviour is inappropriate. MSNBC does a story about birthers, tea baggers, and nuts - oh my! The Pest and eFail gives a verbal happy ending to Paul Vallely. World Nut Daily continues to not report on Tim Adams racist connections. The Court of Appeals tells Berg "no oral arguments needed, thx, bye". And Dr. Orly is of the "attention is attention, good or bad" school.

6 June - Over at "Obama Conspiracy Theories", "Dr. Conspiracy" points out a very real fact - that all of us, both the birthers and those like me debunking them, come out of Philip Berg's original lawsuit.

"There is a very influential work in Russian literature by Nikolai Gogol titled (in translation) The Overcoat. The importance of this work and its effect on subsequent writers was memorialized by a famous quotation from Fyodor Dostoyevsky: “We all come out from Gogol’s ‘Overcoat’.”

In the same vein, virtually all of the present birther mythology is found in the original Berg v Obama lawsuit from 2008 and all the birther lawsuits are little more than warmed over Philip J. Berg. (Berg also believed that the US Government was responsible for blowing up the Twin Towers on 9/11. Berg appears to be a credulous person with a conspiracy theory mindset.) Berg’s lawsuit in some small way legitimized the conspiracy theories in the popular mind."

One will have to forgive me if I don't send Berg a fathers day card.

Still, "Dr. Conspiracy" is right. Most of what the birthers take as gospel truth came straight out of Philip Berg. Dr. Orly's original lawsuits, not to mention a large percentage of the original batch of birther lawsuits, were word-for-word copies of Philip Berg's original lawsuits. Anytime you hear a birther blather on about "Barry Soetoro", Indonesian citizenship, "experts proving the COLB is a forgery", the list of documents demanded, or "Obama's grandmother", you hear the echoes of Philip Berg. About the only things that didn't get their start with Berg was the de Vattelist claptrap and Dr. Orly's obsession about social security numbers.

All because Berg couldn't accept the fact that Hillary Clinton lost the primaries.
