In today's dispatches, one of the biggest pieces of news of course is that Arizona Governor Jan Brewer vetoed that state's undead birther bill. And you can just imagine the screaming, wailing, and gnashing of teeth that the birtherstani are doing as a result. Which means the only birther bill to date that made it out of committee and onto the floor was killed before it could cost that state any more legal fees.
But it's not all sweet, sweet birther tears. Pennsylvania and Louisiana join the birther bill parade. Davenport goes "was I wrong? Should I not have said the President's family are chimps?" . Trump plays a "I'll show you mine if you show me yours" game, while ignoring any facts he can. A poll in Iowa shows that the sane Republicans in that state are barely holding even. Shere Zieve seems to have completely ignored GW Bush's vacation habits.
But there's two items in today's dispatches I want to highlight. The first is that James Manning has a mad. But this time not at Obama per se, but the various birtherstani who he thought were his friends, and who dumped him like a bad habit to get into Donald Trump's good graces. Manning doesn't seem to understand that unlike Manning, Trump has a name and money.
Oh yeah, and a more acceptable skin colour too.
The second is an interview the Pest and eFail does with Walter Fitzpatrick. One that I really really hope the FBI and local law enforcement takes special note of. And soon. Real soon.
13 April - Pennsylvania joins the birther bill parade.
"In light of the ongoing controversy regarding U.S. citizenship as it pertains to candidates running for public office,"
Among the far right, racists, disgruntled PUMAs, conspiracy-addled, and general nutcases at least.
"Pennsylvania House State Government Committee Majority Chairman Daryl Metcalfe (R-Butler) announced today that he has re-introduced legislation to require all candidates for political office to officially submit documentation proving Constitutional eligibility for ballot access."
By which I suspect he means "rewrote a provided template and shoved it into committee."
"Each candidate for President of the United States shall file with his or her nomination petition or substituted nomination certificate or the applicable nomination paperwork an affidavit containing information enumerated in section 910 and shall append to the affidavit documentation that provides proof that the candidate is a natural born citizen, proof of the candidate’s age and proof that the candidate meets the residency requirements set forth in section 1 of Article II of the Constitution of the United States.”
Well, so far it doesn't look like anything that would stop Obama, and his State of Hawaii COLB would meet those stated requirements easily. However, it's interesting they don't include the text of said bill.
14 April - The Lebanon (Pennsylvania) Daily News comments on that state's proposed birther bill.
"Gingrich does not include herself among the so-called birthers and says she accepts the documents proving Obama's citizenship. Swanger, however, finds it questionable that Obama produced a certification of live birth versus a birth certificate."
So one sane person, one idiot.
"Adding fuel to the "birther" argument is Hawaii's law prohibiting disclosure of birth certificates and other vital records unless the requestor has a "direct and tangible interest in the record."
Instead, the state issued a certificate of live birth to verify Obama's citizenship, which many have refused to accept."
However, since the US Government accepts it. as well as the other 49 states, the fact some nutcases refuse to accept it is academic.
16 April - Louisiana joins the birther bill parade.
"F.(1) The chairman and the secretary of the state central committee or the national chairman of the political party, as the case may be, shall file, in addition to a certificate of nomination filed pursuant to this Section, an affidavit of the presidential candidate and vice presidential candidate in which each candidate states his citizenship, age, and residence. Each affidavit shall include references to and attachment of documents that prove that the candidate meets the requirements for president of the United States prescribed in Article II, Section 1, of the Constitution of the United States of America, including the following:
(a) An original or certified copy of the candidate's birth certificate that includes the date and place of birth, the names of the hospital and the attending physician, and signatures of the witnesses in attendance.
(b) A sworn statement or form that identifies the candidate's places of residence for the preceding fourteen years."
Gee, that looks just like all the others. I really wonder who has been sending all these states the same template......
18 April - Arizona Governor Jan Brewer vetos that state's "birther bill"
(PDF here, with big VETO stamp on the last page)
"Dear Speaker Adams:
Today I vetoed House Bill 2177. House Bill 2177 empowers the Secretary of State or other election officers in Arizona to judge the qualifications of every federal, state and local candidate at the time of filing. As a former Secretary of State, I do not support designating one person as the gatekeeper to the ballot for a candidate, which could lead to arbitrary or politically motivated decisions.
In addition, I never imagined being presented with a bill that could require candidates for President of the greatest and most powerful nation on earth to submit their "early baptismal or] circumcision certificates" among other records to the Arizona Secretary of State. This is a bridge too far.
This measure creates significant new problems while failing to do anything constructive for Arizona.
Sincerely
Janice K. Brewer
Governor"
18 April - The Tucson Sentinel reports on Gov. Brewer's veto.
"If the bill had become law, candidates could have substituted those records for a birth certificate to prove eligibility.
So-called "birthers," pushing a theory that President Barack Obama is not a natural-born citizen as required by the Constitution, want to force candidates to disclose their birth certificates. The irony, of course, is that Obama's opponent in the 2008 election, Arizona Sen. John McCain, was likely ineligible to hold the nation's highest office because of the circumstances of his birth, while Obama was born in Hawaii to a mother who was a citizen."
18 April - Marilyn Davenport tries to do more damage control.
"I ask Davenport to describe the ordeal. Her shoulders slump. She sighs, shakes her head slowly and says, "I understand why everyone is contacting me. I wasn't wise in sending the email out. I shouldn't have done it. I really wasn't thinking when I did it. I had poor judgment."
Oh, I'm sure your fellow racists and "Tea Party Activists" just loved it. You forgot however they aren't the mainstream.
"I'm not going to resign," Davenport tells me. "I really have no plans to do so. My constituents have told me not to resign, and I'm very happy with their support. Everybody who knows me says they can't believe people are calling me a racist. I am not a racist, but I do think I need to apologize again with different words."
"I'm not a racist! I'm not I'm not I'm not!!! Why some of my best friends are darkies and wetbacks!!"
"Basically, what I'm saying is that as a Christian I won't ever repeat this," she says. "I will be much wiser from now on."
Why do I have my doubts about that? And good job at witnessing your faith too.
"In response to this story, Schroeder said he is "pleased that Marilyn Davenport has elected to accept responsibility for her actions." He called her remarks "sincere and complete."
"I think the healing process can now begin," said Schroeder. "And the party's ethics committee should take this apology into account when it decides what to do."
But Schroeder still believes Davenport should step down.
"Unfortunately, at this point, it's in the best interests of both the Republican Party and Mrs. Davenport that she resign," he said.
Baugh told me in a telephone interview tonight that Davenport's apology in this story is "more like the Marilyn I know--a sweet woman."
But, like Schroeder, he said, "the damage to the Republican Party has been done by her and I still think she should resign."
So "Thanks for the apology, but we still want your racist ass gone before you hurt us some more."
18 April - Not surprisingly, the birtherstani's heads explode. First off with Free Republic.

Those records were some of the records that could be used if the long-form was not available.
They were using the same standards are used for other instances where proof of place of birth has to be determined by something besides a birth certificate. The Passport Office talks about “early records” - usually records before the age of five, but they have to be accompanied by an affidavit of an adult familiar with the circumstances of the birth to be used for a passport.
Brewer is acting like this is unheard of. Hasn’t she ever dealt with the Passport Office?
This whole thing doesn’t add up.

The funny thing being is that very little of the records the bill would have allowed would have been acceptable for a passport. Something Nellie Ristvedt aka "Butterdezillion" fails to mention.

18 April - Dr. Orly has a mad (malware and redirect warning)
(Bold face mine)
"I am not sure, what was the undue influence on governor Brewer. I was told that previously there was an investigation of her son. I am not sure yet, what prompted her to do this, bur governor Brewer vetoed the eligibility bill, however it is not the end of the road. Since all of the Republicans in the house and senate signed the bill, her veto can be overwritten. We have enough votes to overwrite the veto of this Bernadett Arnold de Arizona
A citizens petition to recall Jan Brewer and kick her out of office is under way. I need help of every tea party patriot to lobby the representatives and senators in AZ to have an emergency hearing tomorrow or day after tomorrow to overwrite Brewer’s veto, we need to get sufficient number of signatures for her recall. This despicable traitor is toast. There are a lot of extremely angry people to let this act of treason against the people to go unpunished."
Wow. Threaty and overblown.
18 April - Fox News Phoenix covers Brewer's veto.
"As for her decision to veto this bill, Gov. Brewer said in part: "I never imagined being presented with a bill that could require candidates for President of the greatest and most powerful nation on earth to submit their 'early baptismal or circumcision certificates'… this is a bridge too far. This measure creates significant new problems while failing to do anything constructive for Arizona."
Hawaii officials have certified Obama was born in that state, but so-called 'birthers' have demanded more proof.
"I feel uncomfortable as a prior secretary of state that one person would be the gatekeeper for all elected officials, not only fot the president but all legislatures in cities and counties. And I believe the bill doesn't serve Arizona well."
18 April - Mediaite comments on Brewer's veto as well.
"Gov. Jan Brewer has vetoed a bill passed by the Arizona legislature that would require presidential candidates to present their long-form birth certificates in order to get on the ballet– a maneuver that would likely keep President Barack Obama from the ballot in that state. Calling it “a bridge too far,” the governor noted that she considered the measure too intrusive on a presidential candidate’s background with little payoff."
18 April - Phoenix New Times also comments on it.
"...kudos to Governor Brewer for making a level-headed decision that's not going to score her any points amongst Arizona's far-right-wing-nuts. As for the state's esteemed legislators, they just achieved a seemingly impossible task: making Jan Brewer look like the sane one. "

Because Department of Hawaiian Homelands isn't looking at citizenship, they're looking at proof that someone is of native Hawaiian ancestry. It has nothing to do with US citizenship - since they rightfully assume that if you're born in Hawaii, you're a Natural-born US Citizen.
Apples and Auto Parts argument.
18 April - James Manning seems upset that Trump is horning in on his act. And that other birthers are now flocking away from him and to Donald Trump.
Basically he's feels like the other birthers have kicked Manning to the curb and are now courting Manning, running to Trump with Manning's hard work. Linda Bentley and Miki Booth get singled out around :45 as "houseguests" that have turned on him. I find it funny at 1:18 that Manning complains about other birthers failing at an ethical and moral level. (Pot, meet kettle) Mario Apuzzo is on his shit list, as are Bentley, Booth, Susan Daniels, Neil Turner, and Jeff Lichter He goes on to say that if Trump uses anything by the people on his shit list, he will lead a march against Trump. And he doesn't like his fellow birthers treating him "like a thing" and acting like they're "smarter than" him.
The funny thing is that many of the above mentioned people more than likely DO think of Manning as a "thing" and think they're smarter than him due to the colour of Manning's skin.
How does it feel to be a "useful idiot" Manning?
I then took at look at the next video, "Dr. Manning Insulted By His House Guests"
Wow, he's got a chip on his shoulder about his fellow birtherstani
He starts off whining about Glenn Beck At about 3:00 he brings up his play trial. Amusingly enough, at 3:30 he admits he didn't have the "kind of support he wanted" on that play trial. (Go figure) He brings up his December 2008 appearance at the National Press Club (with Philip Berg and Dr. Orly Taitz) at 4:33.
At around 4:48 he starts to mention an email from a blogger with the email "chuckolb@(redacted)" He identified the blogger as someone who carried his anti-Obama stuff for the last two years until he went on against Glenn Beck. He mentions at 5:20 that members of his congregation have walked out on him since he started on the anti-Obama kick, and that the "chuckolb" person didn't seem to have a problem with Manning's rants as long as he was talking about his fellow African-Americans, but did have a problem when he started complaining about Sarah Palin, Beck, and others like them.
At 6:38 he comments that his email he got from "chuckolb" was "top secret, confidential, do not publish article or release statement". Which of course means Manning is going to blab about it. At 7:36 he goes off on a hissy fit that "chuckolb" called him James, stating that only his close friends (he has any?), call him "James", and to "chuckolb" and everyone else it's "Dr. James David Manning", thank you very much.
At around 7:50, James states that "chuckolb" was busy with a "briefing packet" set to leave Arizona (O RLY??) to be delivered to Trump and his executive assistant and attorney Cohen. Said packet to contain:
1) A brief done on "Natural Born Citizen", done by Mario Apuzzo.
2) Birth Certificate documents and issues, done by Linda Bentley and Miki Booth.
3) Fraudulent use of Social Security numbers, done by Susan Daniels.
4) (and the one that really has Mannings panties in a knot), Occidental College and Columbia University fraud, done by Neil Turner.
5) Issues surrounding the court-martial of Terry Lakin, done by Jeff Lichter and the Terry Lakin Defense Fund
Manning goes on about how he had Neil Turner in his home and at his table as a trusted friend. Aww, he got his widdle feelings hurt.
Anyway, Manning states that "chuckolb" was co-ordinating this packet to be sent to Trump. At 9:50 he then goes off on the "dis" and the "kick to the curb" that he felt "chuckolb" gave him, and he's even more upset that Neil Turner and Miki Booth are "disrespecting" him and stealing the results of his play trial to give to Trump. He then goes on to call the packet a "pack of rattlesnakes coming from Arizona, who are just back-stabbing, throat-cutting people who are seeking to plagiarize" Manning's work.
No honor among thieves. Or birthers it seems.
He's going to send Trump his own packet, and warn him about the "pack of snakes" sending the other packet. Which goes off on a rant about the birthers on his shit list again.
Chuckle. Sweet sweet birther tears.
I ran the "chuckolb" email address Manning gave in his video, and matched it up to one Chuck Kolb. His ResistNet profile is here
Anyway, it sounds like Manning may have just realized that many of his fellow birtherstani travelers aren't just fickle, but only willing to tolerate Manning and others like him only as long as they're useful to the cause. And when they can find a new "Great WHITE Hope", they'll cling to that person instead.
18 April - World Nut Daily weighs in on Brewer and Jindal.
"Brewer's veto message failed to address the reason for the bill: the uncertainty over whether Barack Obama is a "natural born Citizen," as the Constitution requires for presidents.
"I do not support designating one person as the gatekeeper to the ballot for a candidate, which could lead to arbitrary or politically motivated decisions," she said. "In addition, I never imagined being presented with a bill that could require candidates for president … to submit their 'early baptismal or circumcision certificates' among other records. … This is a bridge too far."
Wait a minute. I thought all the supporters of said bill kept insisting over and over and over and over again that the reason for this bill wasn't Obama at all, he had nothing to do with it, nope, not at all.
And now World Nut Daily states that the reason for the birther bills was indeed, Obama?? Shock and amazement!! I'll be on the fainting couch....
"Plotkin said Jindal believes Barack Obama is a citizen but would not object to the bill submitted to the legislature.
The bill would require candidates who want to appear on Louisiana ballots to file an affidavit attesting to their citizenship, which would have to be accompanied by an "original or certified copy" of their birth certificate.
The measure in Louisiana, along with a similar effort just announced in Pennsylvania, makes it 15 states that have had such proposals pending just this legislative session."
Of which most states have already said "no" Arizona is unique only that it was the Governor who finally said "no".
"While opponents cast the idea as a direct attack on Obama, whose long-form birth certificate and other documentation that could shed light on his status have remained concealed, proponents say the 2008 election simply revealed a gap in the election processes in U.S. presidential elections."
But you just said earlier in the same article that the reason for this bill was Obama. Can you at least pick one story and stick with it??
19 April - The Arizona Republic covers Brewer's veto. And it looks like a veto override may not be in the cards.
"The House and Senate could override the governor's veto with a two-thirds majority vote in each chamber, but on Monday, such a move appeared unlikely.
House Speaker Kirk Adams shook his head wearily when asked Monday evening if lawmakers would attempt to override the veto. "No," he said. He added that legislative researchers found that the last time a governor's veto was overridden was 50 years ago.
The bill's sponsor, Rep. Carl Seel, R-Phoenix, said pursuing an override would be as much about defying the governor as it would be supporting the bill's intent.
"Overrides are a real difficult monster," said Seel, who called the governor's decision to veto the measure "unfortunate."
19 April - Unlike Gov. Brewer, Louisiana State Governor Bobby Jindal doesn't seem to be hampered by sanity or common sense.
"Gov. Bobby Jindal would sign a bill requiring presidential candidates to provide a copy of their birth certificate to qualify for the Louisiana ballot if it reaches his desk, a spokesman said Monday.
"It's not part of our package, but if the Legislature passes it we'll sign it," press secretary Kyle Plotkin said.
House Bill 561 was filed last week by two Republican lawmakers. President Barack Obama's citizenship has been challenged by some groups, derisively called "birthers," despite numerous independent investigations finding that documents and contemporary news reports show that Obama was born in Hawaii.
The bill by state Rep. Alan Seabaugh, R-Shreveport, and Sen. A.G. Crowe, R-Slidell, would require federal candidates who want to appear on Louisiana ballots to file an affidavit attesting to their citizenship, which would have to be accompanied by an "original or certified copy" of their birth certificate.
The requirement also would apply to candidates for U.S. Senate or the House of Representatives."
19 April - Dr. Orly publishes a letter from Fantasy Tiddywinks League co-founder and Fitzpatrick fanboy Carl Swensson. (Malware and redirect warning)
"Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer has undone the work of Republican majorities in both houses of her state legislature by issuing a veto of the plan to exercise the state’s right to run elections and require presidential candidates to prove their constitutional eligibility…"
Because she didn't want her state to lose court challenge after court challenge and be a laughingstock?
"Most polls agree that over 60% of Americans have questions regarding the putative POTUS’s eligibility"
So says World Nut Daily
"...yet those who more openly demand resolution are vilified and marginalized by Soetoro’s best friends, the press, and that leaves me asking a pertinent question…"
...just what DID my Rice Krispies tell me to do today??
"The issue is gaining momentum by the day and our Representatives continue to think it will blow over if only they ignore it and us. Now is that any way to tackle an issue? Will you acknowledge that it is an issue?"
It's an issue only among the conspiracy-minded and easily led.
"There is a line that must be drawn since at last count there are now three (3) potential REPUBLICAN candidates (Martin, who has already announced, Rubio and Jindal) that I’m aware of who may run but are Constitutionally (Article II) disallowed from doing so. This is the direct result of the failure of the elected to protect and defend the Constitution and the sanctity of our vote. You know, the “Oath of Office”, the “Contract”."
More like, in the case of Rubio and Jindal, "How dare those dusky types think they can run for President like a REAL American!!!"
"Three years of work to educate the masses has finally begun to pay dividends as this issue has now reached the level of National attention it so rightly deserves. No amount of derision or ignoring can now stop this train wreck from happening."
Well, at least he's honest in calling birtherism a "train wreck"
19 April - Oh look. Donald Trump is playing "I'll show you mine if you show me yours" games.
"Donald Trump has promised to disclose the details of his finances if he decides to run for president, but not necessarily his tax returns. In our interview yesterday, he laid out a new condition for their release.
“Maybe I’m going to do the tax returns when Obama does his birth certificate…I’d love to give my tax returns. I may tie my tax returns into Obama’s birth certificate,” Trump said."
And it gets better:
"Trump: There’s a real question about the birth certificate. There’s a real question about the-- his own-- his own citizenship.
Stephanopoulos: There-- there is-- there is no question.
Trump: But-- but let me just say--
(OVERTALK)
Stephanopoulos: He’s got a certificate of live birth that is recognized by the State Department.
Trump: George, George.
(OVERTALK)
Trump: George, I know exactly what you’re getting at.
Stephanopoulos: The facts."
*chuckle* Oh dear, looks like Trump is actually getting asked questions this time.
"Trump: But for some reason-- no, they’re not the facts. He doesn’t have a birth certificate or he hasn’t provided. He’s given a certificate of live birth. It’s a much different instrument.
Stephanopoulos: A certificate of live birth meets the standard in the State Department--
(OVERTALK)
Trump: Not the same.
Stephanopoulos: --for any one citizenship."
Someone needs to tell Trump you can't make up your own facts, and a lie is a lie no matter how many times you scream and stomp your feet and claim otherwise.
19 April - The takeover of the GOP by the lunatic fringe continues.
"A whopping 48 percent of Iowa Republicans said they don’t believe that Obama was born in the United States, according to the automated survey by Democratic firm Public Policy Polling out Tuesday. Another 26 percent said they weren’t sure whether or not the president was born in America as the Constitution requires to be eligible to serve in the nation’s highest office.
Trump has driven the widely discredited “birther” issue into the national spotlight as he flirts with an entry into the White House race, placing at the front of the pack in several national polls.
In Iowa, Trump comes in third with 14 percent of the vote, just two points behind Mitt Romney with 16 percent. Mike Huckabee is currently leading in the state, with 27 percent support from Iowa Republicans."
(PDF to poll data here)
19 April - Dr. Orly goes into Conspiracy LaLa Land. (Malware and redirect warning)
"But how does one get to Judge Carter? Or Governor Brewer? Or even Supreme Court Justices? They certainly cannot be threatened with death (at least I hope not). All I can speculate is that they have been warned as follows, “Listen, you don’t know what you’re up against. If the thug in the White House is exposed and removed from office, we will see race riots across the country the likes of which you could never have imagined. Thousands may die. You owe it to your country to lay off the topic. Let it slide. We’ll make sure he loses in 2012.”"
Again we see that it can't possibly be that the birthers claims are a steaming load of dingo's kidneys, oh no. It's a CONSPIRACY against the birther-addled you see. (I resume said conspiracy is called "reality")
"Still, there is a steady drip, drip, drip. It cannot help but have an effect. At some point he may have no supporters left, beyond Michelle, Valerie Jarrett, and his “body servant,” Reggie Love."
Ah, still flogging Larry Sinclair's claims, eh?
"I hope Trump has people guarding his private jets. (I remain convinced that Clinton’s Commerce Secretary, Ron Brown, was intentionally “taken care of” with a plane crash.)"
Conspiracy much?
19 April - The Washington Post comments on at Marilyn Davenport's little chimp picture.
"We should be used to presidents being depicted as primates. President George W. Bush routinely was lampooned as a monkey during his tenure in the White House. But it takes on a different and racist flavor when applied to the current occupant and his family. The instance above shows the most explicit bond yet between the Republican Party, the Tea Party movement and birthers. And it reveals the ugliness to come in the 2012 campaign.
OC Weekly writer R. Scott Moxley broke the story that Marilyn Davenport, a member of the Republican Central Committee of Orange County, sent an e-mail to a few fellow conservatives with what was meant to be a family photo of the president and his parents. Obama’s face is superimposed over the baby ape’s. As if that weren’t bad enough, the caption above the photo in the email read, “Now you know why no birth certificate.”
It should be noted that Davenport isn’t the first Orange County Republican Central Committee member to dabble in racist stereotypes involving Obama. Under the caption, “No Easter egg hunt this year,” Dan Grose sent around an e-mail just after the inauguration in 2009 depicting the South Lawn of the White House as a vast watermelon patch."
And Davenport supported Grose regarding said picture as well.
"Unfortunately, those clinging to this conspiracy theory aren’t just “the nutty right,” as Karl Rove delicately put it. They are the Republican Party. An astonishining PPP survey of likely Republican primary voters released in February revealed that 51 percent did not believe that Obama is American.
That’s why Marilyn Davenport — a Republican and Tea Party activist who questioned the president’s citizenship in a manner “dripping with racism” — perfectly illustrates why Obama will need $1 billion for his reelection. Every dime of it will be needed to dispel persistent rumors and to repeat truths about himself and his policies in every corner of the country until the last vote is counted."
I can't wait for sane Republicans to take their party back.
19 April - Failed Scientologist Sher Zieve continues her jihad against Obama at the Pest and eFail.
"While the Japanese people were dying from a massive earthquake, tsunami and radiation, Obama went on vacation to Brazil with his family and hangers-on. Michelle Obama took her daughters to Spain for another lavish trip and the Obamas’ trip to India (although the Obama regime still refuses to disclose the actual figures) is said to have topped the scales at $200 millions/day. "
The "$200 million a day" claim is a long-since debunked lie, but far be it from Sher Zieve to let facts get in the way of her ranting.
"To rub salt into our already-festering wounds, Obama has instructed the Department of Homeland Security (that’s security for the ObamaElite only–not US citizens)"
Yeah, how dare Obama create the Department of Homeland Security! Oh, wait, that was George W. Bush, never mind.....
"And now Standard & Poor’s has announced that [due to Obama and company gutting our country and racking up unsustainable debt] the USA will likely be downgraded soon. "
And eight years of GW Bush squandering the budget surprise Clinton left in office and fighting two wars kept OFF THE BOOKS didn't have anything to do with that??
"In fact–and I challenge anyone to disprove me–Obama and his family have taken more profligate vacations and golfed more that any other resident of the White House in history. "
Easy! FactCheck covered this after Obama's first year in office, comparing it to other president's first years.
Obama - 26 days
GW Bush - 77 days
Clinton - 21 days
GHW Bush - 40 days
Reagan - 42 days
Carter - 19 days
By August of 2010, Obama had taken 70 days off. GW Bush had taken 225 days off by the same point in his presidency.
During the eight years GW Bush was in office, he was on vacation at Camp David or his "ranch" 977 days. That means he spent 2.67 YEARS of his terms in office "on vacation".
Let me know when Obama gets anywhere near that point.
"Obama, his family and entourage continue to laugh at We-the-People louder and louder every day. Can you hear them now?"
I think that sound is actually your breakfast cereal.
19 April - Wow, Fitzpatrick is losing it. From another softball interview with the Pest and eFail.
(Bold face mine, underlining to note the bold face from the original)
"I tell people this, and it’s as if I’m bouncing BBs off their foreheads. So I’m ready to fight these guys to the death."
Wow. That's a BIG ol' red flag there.
"We have one option left, as I see it, which is that thousands, tens of thousands, and then tens of thousands more people come forward and they name Mr. Obama in the treason that he’s committing with his criminal partners. If that doesn’t happen, then there’s going to be one confrontation after the next, and I see as one of the first of those as mine. And I’m ready for them.
Make that two red flags.
"I am not interested in going back to jail. I was not happy there; I didn’t like it; it’s like being caged up like an animal."
Here's a clue. It's JAIL. You're not SUPPOSED to like it!
"I think thousands of people need to melt down the U.S. attorney’s office in Knoxville. We are in real trouble. They don’t stop, and because nobody’s doing anything to the criminal court in Monroe County to stop this like the feds, they just keep going on like this. There is nobody who can stop them. It may cost me my life.
Damn.
"I’m doing what I can to help as many people as I can, and they keep coming at me, and they don’t stop, and they are forcing a confrontation which is going to result in something bad happening to me"
This is NOT good.
"We have to find some group of people in this country which stands up together and in one voice, in unison, starts talking treason. "
Check the Pest and eFail and Dr. Kate's blog. You'll find a lot of people talking treason. Your friend Carl Swensson should be able to find you some more treason talkers as well.
"It’s all about treason; it’s about the takeover of this country, and they have a way to act, to fight back; they have a couple ways. This guy saying, “How about October?” and I’m thinking “I may not be alive in October, or I may be back in jail in October fighting with guards in there because I’m not going to put up with this."
Paranoid much?
"I’m just not going to do it. I’m a Naval Officer; God damn it, I am a Naval Officer! I am charged under oath to fight exactly what is going on here. This was my job, and I thought that the enemy was overseas, and it’s right here!
GAHHH! The idiot STILL THINKS HE'S A SERVING AND ACTIVE DUTY NAVAL OFFICER!! Dude, you're retired! Why were you retired?? Because you were removed as XO of a supply ship and beached because you got into your ship's morale funds without authorization!!!
Mr Fitzpatrick, let me put this bluntly. YOU ARE NOT A SERVING NAVAL OFFICER ANY LONGER!
"Sharon, I don’t know what else to do!"
Get psychological help would be a good start.
"I do know what else to do. If I am attacked again, I will fight back, and I will fight bare teeth and talons. "
Dauntless and unbowed, eh?
"So I know what is left to me to do. I’ll get up each morning, and I’m talking to the Holy Father every single day. I’m having these running conversations with Him, and I’m saying, “I’m ready. Take me now. I’m ready to go.”
Oh crap. If he's getting ready to go, he's getting ready to blow......
"MRS. RONDEAU: Now it’s going through all the courts, costing millions of dollars as Eric Holder, who is a traitor anyway for serving under Obama, who is a traitor…they are trying to destroy this country."
Adding gasoline to the fire Rondeau?? It doesn't need your help...
"They’re more interested in what’s going on with Charlie and stuff which is of no consequence; in the meantime, their government is acting against them. This is Stalinist Russia. It’s North Korea.
It’s up to We the People to act."
He's inciting people......
Gods I hope law enforcement is keeping a REALLY close eye on Fitzpatrick. Because he's really starting to unravel further and further.
I'm looking at this, and the name "Timothy McVeigh" comes to mind........

I can't wait for sane Republicans to take their party back.
Frankly, I appreciate watching the GOP dissolve itself from within. If the "Sane Republicans" (the last Sane one was Goldwater) can't kick out the insane ones, then it's their own fault.
As for Oily Titz... the woman isn't even a Natural Born United States Citizen (whatever that means), as she's from elsewhere. I still maintain that she's KGB until she proves otherwise. The "Queen" of the Birthers isn't even a freaking Citizen, and can't shut up. Why can't she go back to her own country if she hates ours so much?

On the very ANNIVERSARY of the bombing of the Federal Building, Rondeau publishes 2 appeals to "melt down" the Federal Building in Knoxville.
This particular language has not been used before, either by her, or the person she was "interviewing". So why this particular language on this particular anniversary day?
She publishes the street address in the body of the article, and ends by publishing the 800 Market Street address once more.
What act is she trying to incite? Perhaps the first comment will give us a clue. I quote:
"Is there not ONE Paul Revere amongst you, Tennesseans? The ball is in your court. Take it and run with it!"

Some of these nuts are about to snap. Rondeau is most definitely culpable of incitement and trying to egg the unhinged on. She knows darn well what she is doing.
I've been saying for awhile now that in terms of Walt Fitzpatrick, it is no longer a matter of IF but WHEN. He's going to pull a Von Brunn at some point.
That birther poster "One Pissed Off Vietnam Vet" is going to snap too.
I sincerely hope they are being very, VERY closely monitored.

I'm assuming that P&E even exists because it's flypaper for certain types.

"This measure creates significant new problems while failing to do anything constructive for Arizona."
Birtherism aside, wouldn't it be nice if all new legislation could pass that test?

---I'm assuming that P&E even exists because it's flypaper for certain types.
Yes. We know the government does that with the Islamic sites where the agents try to get some kid to say he will sacrifice anything for Allah.
And there are solid reasons to suspect the Post and EMail, starting with the fact that it was founded by a person with no identity. Maybe MOST of the posters on P&E are undercover agents, and they will all arrest each other one day.

Remember when the GOP stood for balanced budgets, individual freedom and isolationism.
The Republican Party has run up these deficits, we want the federal government to be in our bedrooms and between our women and their doctors, we started two wars instead of ending them like the Korean War and were supposed to stop the Vietnam War the Democrats started. We have lost our way!
So why waste our time with these fools who use their racist rhetoric, like this Marilyn Davenport and Donald Trump with his birther unproven myth, why do we allow our Fox news people to keep talking down our country. Don’t they know we can win the next election with optimism and hope instead of the current rhetoric, that the sky is falling, if we are not careful we will end up like chicken little where no one will listen to us.
