15 May - The military law blog CAAFlog reports on Lakin's release.
"In the Terry Lakin Action Fund Radio Hour interview, LTC Lakin indicates he’s considering waiving his appeal. (I understand that his appeal has already been docketed with ACCA, so he would actually have to withdraw his appeal.) He says the military appellate process takes 6 to 18 months (which is actually a conservative estimate). He indicates he’s considering the pros and cons of waiving his appeal, getting his DD-214, and moving on:
Right now, I’m on appellate leave, which means I’m still on active duty but not receiving pay and just no, no duties other than preparing for possible appeals. And the appellate process can take up to, you know, 6 months to 18 months. The other option would be to waive the appeal process and receive my DD 214, or discharge papers, and I would be separated immediately from the military and go on with my life with no other ties with the military.

18 May - The Pest and eFail trumpets that Dr. Orly is claiming default judgement in her FOIA suit against the SSA.

Orly Taitz posted on her website that she had filed a request for a default judgment by the United States District Court in Washington, DC in her case against the Social Security Administration and its commissioner, Michael Astrue, regarding the SSA’s failure to release information. The request was made after a 30-day response period had elapsed without comment from the Social Security Administration."
There's just two problems here:
1) The response period for Governmental officials is 60 days, not 30.
2) The Judge already told Dr. Orly she didn't serve the SSA properly, and that the clock doesn't start until proper service is started.
This is a lot like what Philip Berg did in October of 2008 - fail to effect proper service, ignore the 60 day rule, and then demand a default judgement after 30 days and claim Obama "admitted" to Berg's charges.
It didn't work for him then either.

Burden of proof is on the accuser. And they would have to prove that the original document - or even that the physical copy that the State of Hawaii provided Obama - are forgeries. Claims from internet "experts" that the PDF is a forgery won't fly with the court.

So her response to being told that her request is a violation of state law is is demand in a subpoena that the state violate that law anyway. Plus, since she's pro se, I seem to remember that only the clerk can issue a subpoena.

Plus Orly filing another endless stream of bat-shit crazy motions that shows she has no business being a lawyer...
After 3 years of total FAIL with these tactics, you'd think reality would start to sink in for some of these people...*sheesh*...talk about stuck on stupid!

"Tacit admission" has always been a good (sometimes last) resort for the conspiracy-minded. It helps them cope with the constant rejection and, worse, being ignored. So their mind transforms a bad thing (being ignored) into a good thing ("ignoring me means agreeing with me"). Psychology 101.

In the Birther Bizarro World, lie is truth ("Abercrombie said he can't find the BC"), failure is success ("the courts rejecting us proves we're onto something") and we have always been at war with Eurasia ("it never was about the birth certificate").
Makes sense, in a way. At least they're consistent by their own standards. ;)
