Today's dispatches shows examples of an increasingly nasty trend in birtherstan. Between the long form disclosure and the killing of Osama bin Laden, the racism that has always been just under the surface in birtherstan has become more open and overt, including three examples in the last 24 hours of birthers using the term "mulatto" and other openly racist commentary about Obama.
The Christian Science Monitor shows why no evidence will ever be good enough for the birtherstani. More on Pam Geller's comments on illegitimacy and citizenship. The Pest and eFail finds an anonymous source supposedly in Hawaii to spew things against the wall to see what sticks. Miss Ticky literally listens to the voices in her head about the long form.
The media covers Kreep and Dr. Orly's day in appeals court, which provokes a whiney letter from Neil Turner. Dr. Kate jumps into a big ol' stinking conspiracy vat. And "Ulsterman" comes up with a new flight o' fiction that claims a military coup against Obama has already taken place. Said claim results in Fitzpatrick's sailor pants getting a new bowspirit, and the panties of Rondeau, Booth, and Dr. Kate getting all dampish and moist.
27 April - From the Christian Science Monitor, commentary on why the birthers will continue to claim Obama as a fraud.
"Orly Taitz, an original champion of birtherism, told New York Magazine after Wednesday’s big “reveal” that she’s willing to let the birth certificate issue go. Really?! Well, sort of. She called the newly released long-form document “a step in the right direction.”
Then Ms. Taitz elaborates: “As long as the experts are saying, ‘Yes, this is a genuine document that was created at the time [of Obama's birth],’ I would say that that would put this issue to rest.”
But wait, there’s more. Turns out when she says “this issue” she’s referring to place of birth, not eligibility to be president. According to New York Magazine, Taitz still questions whether Mr. Obama is a "natural-born citizen," as required by the Constitution – despite his Hawaiian birth and American mother – because his father was a British subject.
"Nobody knows, because the courts never took it upon themselves to provide a determination on this issue," Taitz says.
Another theory floating around is that Obama lost his citizenship, because he was adopted by his mother’s second husband, an Indonesian named Lolo Soetoro, and then moved to Indonesia. There is no evidence that Obama was legally adopted by Mr. Soetoro, now deceased, but we do know that Obama lived in Indonesia with his mother and Soetoro for a few years as a child. Though living abroad does not necessarily mean losing one’s citizenship."
1 May - Little Green Footballs comments on Pamela Geller's weird claim that people born out of wedlock have "different rights" to citizenship.

I almost hate to dignify this ugly garbage by debunking it, but even if you grant all the crazy accusations about Barack Obama Sr. and Stanley Ann Dunham (which I don’t) the simple fact is that many years of Supreme Court case law have decided this issue very thoroughly: a child born on US soil is a natural born citizen of the United States. That’s what the US Constitution means, and that’s what the founding fathers meant. And there’s no special exception for illegitimate children.
James Madison made this very clear in 1789 in a speech before the House of Representatives, when he said exactly the opposite of Pamela Geller’s loony assertion:
It is an established maxim, that birth is a criterion of allegiance. Birth, however, derives its force sometimes from place, and sometimes from parentage; but, in general place is the most certain criterion; it is what applies in the United States.
2 May - "Ulsterman" has had an interesting track record with the birthers and other conspiracy theorists. Namely that not one single "inside" scoop or claim he's made has ever turned out to be accurate or correct. Still, it's not surprising to find his latest piece of fiction, this time about bin Laden.

HC and LP were in constant communication over matter – both attempted to convince administration to act. Administration feared failure and resulting negative impact on president. It's not surprising to start seeing stuff like this. For a long time the narrative among these dolts has been that Obama is a stealth Muslim that's allied with Islamic terrorists. To have Obama authorize a strike that took out one of the top of those terrorists - much less the one who planned the 9 September 2001 attacks on the United States - goes against that narrative and undermines the attempts to float it in the public eye. By claiming it was done against Obama's wishes, "Ulsterman" makes an attempt to continue to tie Obama to "radical Islam".

The killing of Osama Bin Laden was in fact a Coup within Obama WH."
Now this part is interesting - since it's a claim that a de facto military coup against Obama has already happened. Something the birthers have been dreaming about / demanding for ages now. This particular claim has the potential to catch on with the birtherstani - at least until it finally starts to dawn on them that Obama is still President and still CiC. At which point they'll move on to the next claim that will make them rock back and forth muttering "....any day now....."
2 May - In a badly-written word salad that seems to be "find anything nasty to say about Obama and stick with it". professional seditionist Rondeau comes up with "Was Recently-Arrested Friend Obama’s Former Drug Dealer?", and is about Bobby Titcomb, a graduate of Punahou School and friend of Obama's.
"What type of financial aid did Obama receive, and from whom? Upon what “achievement” was it awarded?
If Obama had achieved enough to be accepted to Punahou, why did he “experiment with drugs and let his grades slip in his final years of high school”? Why wasn’t he expelled if his academic performance was lacking?"
Depends if they slipped from a straight A average to a B average or something similar.
And this this story, second hand from Hawaii resident the Pest and eFail "interviewed" and who claimed that Titcomb never graduated from that school.
"The question for me is, “Who was your dealer?” Obama said that he used marijuana and cocaine in high school. Now, cocaine is pretty serious. If he used cocaine, who was his dealer?
I know from that friend in the same grade as Titcomb that Titcomb was expelled. He was definitely expelled. I just spoke to the friend last night. The other information I got about him was from a fellow who is older. Titcomb lived on a street near Punahou School, and my friend here was like a neighbor, so he knew him when he was a little kid. He said, “Anything to get in trouble, that was him: Titcomb. He always got in trouble.” He was the one who told me that Titcomb was expelled for selling drugs, although that is not confirmed."
So far we have the majority of the article as claims from an anonymous source that seem to have no backing or evidence to support such.

She then interviews Fitzpatrick. Because the former XO of a supply ship who was court-martialed for misappropriation of ships funds and retired after being passed over for promotion three times is, of course, an expert on Navy Seals and anti-terrorist operations. At least in birtherstan.

To back this claim, Fitzpatrick links to an article at the birther site "Expose Obama", which in turn links to World Nut Daily. Which make claims that were later debunked by Snopes.
It REALLY upsets the birtherstani when Obama acts like a President.

Personally I don't think that Fitzpatrick has many current contacts in the military - many of his former USNA classmates have either left the service, retiired, or are of flag rank, and it's doubtful any of them would want much to do with a court-martialed ex-officer with a history of run-ins with law enforcement.

3 May - The LA Times reports on Kreep and Dr. Orly's date in appeals court.

Yes, Dr. Orly is comparing Obama's refusal to play stupid birther games to Nazi Germany.
After the hearing, Taitz took her case outside the courtroom, to television cameras and reporters. She displayed images of the birth certificate Obama released last week and pointed out inconsistencies in the lettering, type size, paper quality and document numbering, comparing it with a birth certificate issued by the same hospital for a woman born just hours before the president.
Taitz also brandished blow-ups of a college application and a Selective Service System letter, alleging that the documents show "a pattern of deceit."
You want a "pattern of deceit"? Check out just about any birther blog and website out there.

On a more ominous note... the comment from "Ronnie" that you shared from Walt's seditious site is likely to become the "meme" that these desparate haters move more and more towards as the year progresses - calling Obama the "Anti-Christ".
Not only is it a last ditch card of crap to pull out when all else blows up in their face...but it is a purely fundamentalist "faith based" charge that they don't have to even try to provide evidence for... combine that with all the crazy End Times beliefs that are likely held by many in this crazy crowd and you've got a devious and dangerous firebrand charge that they'll eventually exploit.

Actually, she wrote that the space appeared to indicate someone removed the form from a typewriter then reinserted it. Nothing more.
It piqued her curiosity why someone would eject the form between the date and comma preceding the year.
Seems to me it is the duplicated sets of pixels that indicated forgery.
But whatever helps you cope...just lie to yourself.

So yes, she changed her mind after something started whispering in her ear - BY HER OWN ADMISSION.
As for "forgery", since there is not only a clear evidence chain from the State of Hawaii to the White House, but the State of Hawaii has posted the letters from said evidence chain, publicly stated that the document is authentic, and linked to it on the official State website. So either a) the State of Hawaii is lying and in on the coverup, or b) this is a copy of the original document.
Oh, and BTW, I will point out a difference between this blog and the birther blogs.
I leave posts like yours up rather than delete them. Funny thing that.

I find it fascinating to watch Dr. Kate try to reconcile two opposing wingnut theories: (1) that it was Leon Panetta, not the President, who ordered the strike against Osama; and (2) that Osama has really been dead and on ice for years.
You can tell that she wants to believe them both. At one point she is feebly asking if someone other than Osama could have been in the compound.
But at least she's trying. Her gang has no problem believing two contradictory stories at once. The President totally staged the fake photo of White House and military personnel watching the firefight! AND they had to drag him in off the golf course to watch it!

No, she called it "an anomaly". That of course is assuming it never happens that someone types a space too many and then the comma.
And the comma is too perfect to be the result of re-inserting the paper a second time.
So that's more of a little white lie why she was moved to "look for signs of forgery", just because she won't admit she considered the document a forgery from the get-go.
Why doesn't she complain the Nordyke twins' BC's are full of "anomalies", including one stating "Honolulu, Hawaii" and the other "Honolulu, Oahu"?
