In today's dispatches, the birtherstani play "monkey see, monkey do". Pat Boone plays to the birtherstani. Walter Fitzpatrick seems to have problems with dusky authority figures.
Miki Booth and Dean Haskins can't get their stories straight. Joe Arpaio continues to be the birthers Great White Hope, even when his office is giving mixed signals. John Woodman challenges Paul Irey.
Dr. Orly smoozes with Pat Boone, and spins her Hawaiian cases. Dr. Kate publically and openly calls for an unconstitutional military coup. "One Pissed-Off Vietnam Vet" does an amazing degree of paranoia.
"Raised on Hoecakes" has a message for birthers "stop it, you're giving conservatives a bad name". Joseph Farah and his porn star mustache call upon the Blessed St. Sarah Moosekiller to save us. Rick Santorum manages to seem like the sane and moderate one compared to birtherstani. Andrew Breitbart wants a shooting war. And Corsi has a message for Dr. Orly about Joe Arpaio - which really seems to be "I'll scratch your eyes out if you come near my man, you peroxided bimbo!"
16 September - Since the birthers can't come up with any good ideas on their own, their latest litterbox nugget is "attackwatch.net", an imitation of the Obama campaign site.
It's pretty lame. All they can come up with is a slavish copy of President Obama's campaign site, with their own lies in place of the truth. The three "stories" they post are a recent Sharon Rondeau piece, and two graphics from BirtherReport.
The Whois info states it's registered by the Terry Lakin Action Fund as well. Funny, I thought their money was going towards Terry Lakin's family, not junk sites with substandard HTML....
16 September - Oh look. The birthers have a high-profile buddy.
"Pat Boone used to be middle America’s icon during Beaver Cleaver era — ask your parents, he was huge. He’s still huge at the California GOP convention – the party chair asked him to take a bow Friday night before introducing Rep. Michele Bachmann’s star turn. But the man known for his cover of Little Richard’s “Tutti Frutti” is now talking Tutti Frutti politics: he insisted Friday that President Barack Obama is a Koran-in-Arabic reading, Ramadan-celebrating, Kenyan-born fraud who’s ”spending millions” to ”hide” his records from the American public.
Pat Boone: crooner gone birther."
"On whether he thinks Obama was born in the U.S: “I don’t. I was in Kenya about a year and a half ago and everybody said, “you know he was born here.”…Why else would he be hiding all his records? He is spending millions of dollars so we do not have his records..And experts have already looked at and been able to verify that this long form document is a fraud.
“But the media ignores it….a total fraud. A photo-shopped fraud.”
*Rolls eyes*
"On Obama’s religion: “Growing up in Indonesia, he used to read the Koran in Arabic..so that was instilled in him as a young boy…he hasn’t celebrated any Christian holidays in the White House, but he does Ramadan.” That may be a surprise to those who have attended, say the White House Easter Prayer Breakfast. Apparently, Pat’s invite is..cough..cough…in the mail."
Mr. Boone seems a bit....racist. And clueless. And ignorant.
16 September - Looks like Walter Fitzpatrick is still upset at Gary Pettway
"Extensive investigation shows that Mr. Gary Pettway, who acted as the foreman of the Monroe County grand jury for 20 years, was never officially appointed nor sworn in as mandated by the Tennessee Rules of Criminal Procedure."
By "extensive investigation" she means "crap that Walter Fitzpatrick made up out of whole cloth"
"On April 1, 2010, Walter Francis Fitzpatrick, III attempted to carry out a citizen’s arrest against Pettway for over-serving his term as foreman."
Well, that and the fact that Pettway didn't want to do what you demanded and go after that uppity darkie in the WHITE House....
"Fitzpatrick was then arrested by Monroe County sheriff’s deputies and Madisonville police and charged with disorderly conduct, disrupting a lawful assembly, and riot. Later that day, he was also charged with resisting arrest. "
Yeah, funny what happens when you're asked to leave and refuse to...
"Ross knew that day that Pettway has no papers. Mr. Pettway has no papers, which is the exact situation we have with Mr. Obama.”
Get the feeling the major complaint Fitzpatrick has about Pettway and Obama is that they don't know their "place"??
"The Post & Email asked, “Is it similar to what the Obama supporters are doing: setting up an AttackWatch.com site, demonizing people, and hacking others’ websites, because they know that Obama has no papers?”
No, I think it has more to do with a dislike for the wholesale lies, distortions, attempted rewriting of the Constitution, racism, and sedition we see from the birthers on a daily basis.
"This is why they had four sheriff’s deputies monitoring my movements in the courthouse on Wednesday."
I suspect it was more due to your past history of harassment and threats to law enforcement.
17 September - It's amazing how the birthers can't keep their stories straight.
"A report from Booth and Haskins dated September 15, 2011 states that a man whom Booth questioned at the Hawaii Department of Health “was not happy that we were there.”
Gee, I can't imagine why they wouldn't be delighted to be harassed by two wingnut birtherstani from the mainland.
"Miki has also been a contributor to The Post & Email, having pointed out that while Obama’s April 27 release of a purported birth document claimed that Dr. David Sinclair delivered Obama, a woman in upstate New York who said she “remembered the birth” named a “Rodney T. West” as the delivery doctor."
Because Miki Booth's son was also delivered by Dr. David Sinclair, and she's afraid that Obama cooties got on her lady bits.
"While one account relates that perhaps Obama himself stated that he was born in Mombasa, Kenya, based on extensive research carried out by attorneys, concerned citizens and constitutional scholars, the place of Obama’s birth might not even be relevant to his constitutional eligibility. The Post & Email spoke with “Race Bannon” several months ago, and while he could make no further comment on his previous account of a chance meeting with Obama in Hawaii, he stood by the story."
Well, of course he did. The fact he was more than likely lying though his teeth isn't important....
"Miki reported that when she completed a records request form at the counter, she overheard one of the clerks ask the other whether or not she should put down “Native American” as a race on a form. One of the clerks looked at it and said, “Yes, just put it down as ‘Native American.’” “I’m just guessing, but I think they put ‘Native American’ as the term for ‘Indian’ and the tribe,” Booth said. “When Dean heard that, his ears perked up and he asked, ‘Back in 1961, would they have used the classification of “African?” and at first the girl said ‘Yes.’ And he said, “African is a nationality, not a race.’ The clerk then said, ‘Nowadays they can use “African-American,” but in those days it would have been “Negro.’”
Ignoring the fact that this doesn't mesh with what Haskins claimed (like I said, they can't keep their stories straight), since Obama's father came FROM Africa, "African" would have been the term he used.
"They then went to the Capitol to hopefully gain an audience with State Sen. Sam Slom. She had spoken with one of his assistants several days before to introduce herself and let them know that she would be stopping in during her visit. However, Slom was out and was not expected back for the rest of the work day."
Get the feeling Slom didn't want to deal with the birther nuts??
17 September - Joe Arpaio continues to be the birtherstani Great White Hope, at least according to swiftboat liar Jerome Corsi.
"Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio in Arizona has constituted a special law enforcement posse to investigate allegations brought by members of the Surprise, Ariz., Tea Party that the birth certificate Barack Obama released to the public April 27 might be a forgery, WND has learned.
The posse, under the authority of Arpaio's office, will consist of two former law enforcement officers and two retired attorneys, headed by Michael Zullo, a retired police detective originally from Bergen County, N.J."
How interesting. Wonder if it's a "special posse" made up of teabaggers and birthers, or actually made up of people who know the law and the Constitution.
"WND confirmed with Zullo and with Arpaio's office that the investigation into the Obama birth certificate has been sanctioned fully by Arpaio's office. The investigation, they said, will be conducted with "utmost diligence," and the investigators will be authorized to utilize subpoena power."
And what happens when they run into the same problem Dr. Orly has - that you can't subpoena someone to break the law. Do they expect Arpaio to go to Honolulu to arrest the Department of Health for that state??
"Arpaio's move is unprecedented in that WND research can find no other instance in United States history in which a county sheriff's office has undertaken an investigation of a document pertaining to a sitting United States president."
Maybe because there's not been any other instance in United States history of a sitting United States president being subjected to such an insane conspiracy theory.
17 September - It doesn't look like the birthers are very happy with former Senator Rick Santorum.
"Former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum told WND, "My understanding is that issue was solved. If there's evidence to the contrary [showing Obama is not eligible], they should bring it forth."
The Constitution requires a president to be a "natural-born citizen," which many legal analysts believe means being the child of two U.S. citizen parents at the time of birth.
When that was pointed out to Santorum, he responded, "I don't think that's what the Constitution requires, and he (President Obama) was born in the country, so it doesn't matter."
It says something when Santorum is the sane and moderate one in the discission....
18 September - Dr. Orly has a fan (malware and redirect warning)
Rather monochromatic crowd....
"Wow! What a weekend. Between Dennis and Sue Prager telling me, that they admire me and Pat Boone introducing me to the Beverly Hills tea party as the most courageous woman, I am in seventh heaven,"
Her ego must have died and went to heaven.
"This party was amazing, as it was held in the Beverly Hills, the bastion of the Democrat party, there were a lot of tea party members there, the cars were honking"
You didn't notice the raised middle fingers, did you??
And in comments:
"Gianni

Mmmmmm, you look good Orly. Please contact me if you are available."
"dr_taitz@(redacted)
September 19th, 2011 @ 6:32 am
no, I am not. I am married"
That didn't stop you with CEL3 now, did it??
18 September - Swiftboat liar Jerome Corsi reports on the "elite team of five" that Arpaio passed the buck too.
"In the past few months, the Cold Case Posse has been inactive, largely because of budgetary limitations within the Maricopa County Sheriff's office.
But in the past few days, Arpaio has assigned a 5-person group serving under the auspices of the Cold Case Posse to undertake the Obama birth certificate investigation."
So who got assigned?? Tweedle-Dee, Tweedle-Dum, Harvey the invisible white rabbit, Tony the Tiger, and Skippy the Wonder Wombat???
"Sources within the sheriff's office explained to WND that the Cold Case Posse has been constituted as a 501(c)3 organization – separately organized within the 3,000-member volunteer posse – enabling people from around the country to contribute to its mission."
Seems to me playing political games is a good way to lose that 501(c)3 status. Though Arpaio has come up with a brilliant way to get the gullible birtherstani to fund an otherwise defunct "posse". Even though it sounds odd that a "volunteer" posse would be inactive due to budget constraints....
18 September - The Pest and eFail reports on Miki Booth's trip to Hawaii with Dean Haskins.
"When I got up to the window with my application for Alan’s birth certificate, I said to the woman, “I already have one of those, meaning the short-form certificates people were getting. I don’t want one like those. I want a copy of the long-form birth certificate, ” and she said, “That is the long-form birth certificate.” And I said, “No, I’m talking about the one with the hospital information and mother’s place of residence at the time of birth, and I started naming off all these things The lady went over and talked to Jesse, who came over and sat down. So I guess dealing with a “birther” is above her pay grade. It’s all on tape."
"On Tape", eh?? Would this be a mythical tape like the "Whitey" tape for the "Chief Editor Korir" tape?? Or a heavily edited one like the tape of Obama's step-grandmother??
"So he said, “Do you want to talk to the person underneath him?” and I said, “Yes, I would love to.” So he called on the phone and told him, “We’ve got a couple of birthers here.” That’s what he told him!"
Well, yes. They have to be aware of security concerns due to the harassment they've suffered from birther abuse and harassment since fall of 2008.....
"So then he said, “There was a court order so that would be released.” And I said, “So you’ve got to get all of your lawyers together and come down here to get a copy?” and he said, “You have to have a court order, and you can go over there,” and he pointed over on the other side of the lobby to the security deputy."
So he told you the process. And, like most birthers, you didn't like being told "no".
18 September - John Woodman, the author of the book debunking the birther's long form "experts", has challenged Paul Irey to a debate.
"The top possibility I have in mind would be a nationally-syndicated radio talk show.
In fact, my number one preferred pick (if he would be willing to host such a show for the purpose of helping clarify this national issue and demonstrating that we as conservatives value the truth) would be the nation’s number 2 radio talk show — Sean Hannity.
Other possible choices might be Glenn Beck, Mark Levin, Laura Ingraham, Neal Boortz, Jim Bohannon, Jerry Doyle, Mike Gallagher, Michael Medved, Doug Stephan, etc. That’s only a starting list."
Almost all of which have no particular liking for birthers. Though I confess the B5 fanboy in me hopes they end up on Jerry Doyle's show.....
18 September - Professional seditionist Sharon Rondeau gets Dr. Orly's spin on her Hawaiian cases.
"Taitz and two document examiners flew to Honolulu in advance of the August 8 deadline to inspect the birth record. However, Fuddy did not appear, and instead, a letter was presented to Taitz explaining that Obama’s original birth record could not be produced for inspection due to “privacy concerns.” Taitz has stated that Fuddy “broke federal law” by refusing to produce the records under subpoena."
Which MIGHT Have been the case had it been an actual, properly issued subpoena that had been properly served. Since it was neither....
18 September - Dr. Kate seems to want her civil war fix.
"In the post Acts of War a brief review of the many “acts of war” against the U.S. from within was presented, such as the 1913 federal reserve act and fraudulent ‘ratification’ of the Sixteenth Amendment by SOS Philander Knox, Woodrow Wilson and the rise of the ‘progressives’-turned-socialists-turned democrats, and the FDR, Truman & Eisenhower rise of the military-industrial complex with the CIA. All of these over the last 100 years contributed to the placement of Barack Obama, a constitutionally ineligible phony, into the highest office in the land. Enabled Covered by the blind and uninformed support of millions–itself enabled by controlled media–an ‘advancement in race relations’–was cheapened by Obama and used instead to destroy them.
The placement of a usurper into the office of the Presidency of the United States is the most blatant act of war against America since the Federal Reserve Act and Sixteenth Amendments of 1913 and the establishment of the military-industrial-government (i.e. CIA) complex in the 1950′s."
She's been ripping off her clothes and skinny-dipping into Lake Conspiracy more and more of late.
"By everything we have seen and what we know, the usurpation of the presidency is an ‘act of war’ against the United States, which is classified as ‘domestic terrorism‘"
Says the woman who's been calling for insurrection and military coups.
"Within this context, Obama’s lack of constitutionality is no longer a law enforcement matter, it has crossed the line into the arena of the United States military. "
"WAHHH! I WANT MY MILITARY COUP!! WHY HASN'T THE MILITARY GOTTEN RID OF THE SCARY BLACK MAN!!!!"
"There are those officers that have lived this oath by challenging the unconstitutional Obama. We know the names Lakin, Kerchner, Barnett, Moran, Turner, Fitzpatrick, MacInerny, Vallely, and others."
Yes. Moran wasn't an officer, and all the rest save Lakin were retired or former servicepersons. Next??
"The scope and depth of the threat to this Nation and the essential corruption of the government cannot be shouldered or called for by the people alone. National defense is the first priority of the government as stated in the Constitution–to provide for the common defense.
The time is now. We the people are calling and will support you. Give us a sign.
Have we done everything we can do to alert our military to our readiness?"
"WAHHH!! WHERE'S MY MILITARY COUP!!!!!!
"drkate
September 18, 2011 at 10:06 pm
When and where is it law enforcement, and when/where is it military? And how can the people support this effort to remove the usurpers?"
"WAHHH!! WHY CAN'T THE POLICE ARREST THE SCARY BLACK MAN!!"
"Jan
September 18, 2011 at 10:42 pm
...We are now at a point where if the Military will not live up to their oaths, who do we have left other than a civil war?
It is vital that obat be removed prior to the elections, I would love to see all of the above removed and the military step in to run our country until an election can be held."
"I WANT MY MILITARY COUP!!!!"
"True Patriot
September 19, 2011 at 7:19 am
All true. Yes we have experienced a Military coo by the Communists aka Obama their evil puppet."
What on earth is a "military coo"?? A camouflaged pigeon??
"drkate
September 19, 2011 at 9:18 am
I think we begin to withdraw all support from this government…and this post was written actually to grab the military’s attention."
Dr. Kate seems to believe we live in a banana republic where the military has final say on who leads the government.
18 September - "One Pissed-Off Vietnam Vet" continues their ranting.
"No, seriously, what will it take? We’ve been through the Marine barracks suicide bombing in Lebanon, the Lockerbie plane crash, the embassies in Africa blown to bits, the World Trade Center in 1993, planes flying into things in 2001, Fort Hood and so forth, yet Americans see nothing to be concerned about the Muslims amongst us as more and more arrive daily, some via planes, others sneaking over borders. "
".....you hear them at night, rustling the leaves in the backyard, rummaging though the attic. They say the creaks and bumps are only the wind, but I know better. It's the Muslims, sneaking into my house, coming to get me...."
"Thus far, it hasn’t done any good pointing out that the dumbing-down of Americans has directly resulted in electing a Muslim president and of electing members of Congress who have turned their backs on the Constitution. Stating facts has been a complete waste of time:"
Yes, stating facts and reality to a birther is a complete waste of time.
"Some Obama supporter did post Obama’s Certificate of Live Birth on the web; the only trouble was that it was proven to be a fake."
Funny how the State of Hawaii doesn't seem to think so.
"But this Obama clown isn’t funny, not by a long shot. He has been backed by billions of dollars to make the United States Constitution nothing more than an asterisk in some future publication which some sensor missed, because if the Muslims take over, our libraries will be decimated, our advancements in Civil Rights will be for naught, and all of the deaths to protect liberty and freedom will have been in vain."
"....you see them at night, at the Denny's, just waiting to scream jihad and leap out at me......."
"We plead: we offer facts, not opinion. It is not my opinion that Islam is our enemy. It’s not my opinion that the Muslims in the United States are not here for the freedom to wear a miniskirt or go to a local microbrewery or to assimilate the American dream. It’s not my opinion that the educational system in America is graduating people with LESS knowledge than ten, twenty, or even thirty years ago, and it’s not my opinion that the Main Stream Media do not report the news, but rather the garbage that the Obama regime wants you to believe."
Delusion isn't usually considered opinion, no......
19 September - I was recently sent links to articles at the Conservative blog "Raised on Hoecakes". They're not impressed by the birtherstani.
Case in point, 12 June 2011
"We, the rational conservatives of these United States, wish that you would shut up about the birth certificate of President Barack Obama. There is a “guilt by association” factor and the fact that your theories are looney, delusional and devoid of reality makes you no different than those who think the Apollo moon landings never occurred.
Please, we beg you, stop appearing as nuts to the average voter who knows the eligibility issue to be settled in both fact and in law.
Thank you."
The problem is that sane and rational conservatives are a dying breed in the tsunami of ignorance that has engulfed the GOP.
"The latest foray into the birth certificate nonsense comes from a familiar source – the nuts at World Net Daily who on June 7, 2011 proclaimed “Expert: Obama doc is ‘proof’ – of fraud”
“My analysis proves beyond a doubt that it would be impossible for the different letters that appear in the Obama birth certificate to have been typed by one typewriter,” Irey told WND.“Typewriters in 1961 could not change the size and shape of a letter on the fly like that,” he said. “This document is definitely a forgery.”
The “expert” is one Paul Irey, who worked as a typographer for over fifty years. Setting type was a specialized skills back in the 1960′s. However, it has nothing to do with the document at hand. Why? Because setting type does not give you expertise in current scanning methods, issues with OCR programs, paper types or typewriter ink absorption into paper.
Well, all that plus the fact that Paul Irey decided it was a forgery BEFORE he ever saw it.
"It is amazing how people will get locked into a position and will deny it no matter what facts are presented. Holocaust deniers are that way. Despite millions of people being missing, despite the records, despite the visual witnesses of American fighting men, deniers will continue to be driven by something other than facts. “Truthers” are the same way. They will contend that no planes flew into the World Trade Centers or into the Pentagon. Despite what we all saw with our own eyes, truthers will continue to say that the attacks on America on 9/11 were the work of the government. In doing so, they agree with many Muslim tyrants who have blamed the US government or “the Jews” for the attacks.
It is time to let the “birther” meme go. It is time to let the issue die as far as Barak Obama is concerned. While we here at Raised on Hoecakes would love to see a law or statute clarifying what documentation is needed prove eligibility to be president, we are pragmatic enough to know that such legislation will be seen as an attack on this president rather than a guide for future elections.
There are plenty of things to hit Obama with: energy, taxes, the economy, regulations, lack of jobs and his foreign policy are just a few.
The “birther” issue has to be put aside as it does not, and will not resonate with the people in the middle. It makes conservatives look “looney by association.”"
The problem that the people at Hoecakes face is that the people making up much of the Republican rank and file don't CARE about sanity anymore. In fact, they're doing their best to drive out the remaining sane Republicans.
And it looks like Paul Irey got grumpy on 17 June 2011.
"Irey states:
I am totally familiar with currant scanning and consider myself an expert in Adobe software … having used Adobe Photoshop since it was a beta test in Dec. of 1989
Yet in a later reply, he says
But since I made these studies I have learned of a method to export the PDF to tiff …
The ability to convert a PDF file directly to a .tif file (a graphic format) – especially a one page document as is the birth certificate – has been around for some time – certainly more than 5 years. A “workaround” has been available since the mid 1990′s, yet Irey says this is a new method to him.
Not surprising, since Irey was one of many of WND's "experts" that failed to note that the long form image was done though Quartz on Mac OS X than though Adobe Acrobat....
"Irey was so upset at the expose we had done on his “analysis,” he immediately concluded that we here at Raised on Hoecakes were Obama supporters."
Birthers see the world in black and white. You're either with them or you're against them 1000%. And if they believe you're against them, you're automatically an "obot".
Many debunkers aren't Obama supporters. Some see the birthers as harming conservatives, others are more interested in the truth than in partisan politics.
And on 24 June 2011, they realize that trying to get birthers to see the light of reality is like....well, teaching pigs to sing.
"There is an old saying that goes something like “never try to teach a pig to sing: it is a waste of time and annoys the pig.” For the most part, that has been our experience so far with people in the “birther” movement. Since our last article on the subject addressing just one issue and one “conclusion,” we have had people stop by and leave all sorts of communications with us. Some have been pleasant and engaged in a rational discourse. We thank the people who have discussed the issue in that manner. We have found those people to be respectful and genuinely seeking an intelligent discussion.
On the other hand, there are the “true believers.” These are the folks that will not engage in a debate. These are the folks that will not look at any evidence that is contrary to their beliefs. These are the people that are so convinced that they are right about the birther issue, when trying to discuss it with them, they refuse to discuss a singular issue and stay on point. They will attack anything in order not to discuss a valid point."
Sounds like the birtherstani alright.
"Conspiracy theorists only look at the conclusions that people draw. If that conclusion fits their preconceived notion, they person is correct and they will spread the word how someone agreed with them. If the conclusion is against their preconceived notions, they will attack the person. We here at Raised on Hoecakes went through this with some birthers. We were accused of being an Obama supporter. We were accused of being liberals.
The sad thing is that Trembley says that after the Fox article, he too was attacked as being an Obama supporter. People claimed that Trembley, who is Canadian, worked on the Obama campaign.
When the facts go against them, conspiracy theorists resort to ad hominem attacks."
Oh, so he's dealt with Dean Haskins before I take it?
And then finally on 9 July 2011, they show us some letters from the birtherstani.
"...in talking to some “birthers” via email, we became more and more convinced that there are birthers who are simply incapable of rational or logical thought.
The emails kept coming and after awhile we began to reply with the paragraph above and try to move on. When that became impossible we had our email filter send emails from birthers to our “delete” email folder where they would simply disappear.
We were done with the birther issue.
That is until tonight."
Ah, the fun of dealing with the nutters.
"So let’s understand Irey’s theory completely.
If the alleged forger of the document used the same “t” in cutting and pasting the words together onto the birth certificate, the birth certificate would clearly be seen as a forgery.
On the other hand, Irey claims that because the letters are different, that also proves the birth certificate is a forgery.
(Irey’s comparison of different letters can be seen here and here.)
This is pure comedic gold. This is a lack of rational thought at its best. According to Irey, the document is a fake if the letters are the same or if they are different.
Are there any other options other than “the same” or “different?”
Well, remember that to Irey, the document is de facto a forgery. Therefore, all evidence MUST show it to be a forgery - even if it indicates exactly the opposite.
"In Irey’s world, the document is a forgery no matter what the evidence shows. Or rather, the document is a forgery in spite of the evidence. Irey and other “birthers” are so interested in the conclusion that the birth certificate is a forgery, they either do not or cannot think about what they are saying and how they arrive at that conclusion. It is the conclusion – not the evidence or thought process – that matters. The conclusion and only the conclusion."
Welcome to the People's Republic of Birtherstan.
18 September - Joseph Farah must be getting loopy from mustache wax fumes. His latest great idea?? Having Sarah Palin run as a Democrat to primary Obama.
"Only one Republican is going to get to face off with Barack Obama in 2012, and I can hardly count the number of contenders for that opportunity right now. She'd be a frontrunner for sure, but her tea-party base is already eyeing other candidates.
However, there is something Sarah Palin could do right now that would be truly radical – and, at the very least, bloody Barack Obama so badly he wouldn't have a hope of beating the Republican nominee.
What's that?
Brace yourself for a crazy idea.
Sarah Palin should reregister as a Democrat and announce her intention of seeking the Democratic Party nomination in 2012 over Barack Obama!
Crazy? I told you it was crazy.
But think about it."
I did. You're crazy.
"What do you think of my crazy plan? Would you support Palin for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2012?"
Do the words "Oh hell no" mean anything??
"I think it's a sure-fire recipe for saving America by making sure Obama is not even a viable option in the general election. He might be forced to run as a third-party candidate, a write-in or not at all!"
"Blessed St. Sarah Moosekiller save us! That uppity darkie might run for a second term!!"
19 September - Lawrence Sellin is a bit upset at Rick Santorum.
"In response to a question about Barack Obama’s eligibility to be President, Santorum said:
“My understanding is that issue was solved. If there’s evidence to the contrary [showing Obama is not eligible], they should bring it forth.”
Perhaps Santorum should indeed look at the mountain of evidence implicating Obama as a usurper and felon."
You mean the Bandini mountain of lies, falsehoods, myths, and conspiracy theories that the birthers claim as "evidence"??
"According to Santorum, Anwar al-Awlaki is eligible to be President because he was born in New Mexico.
Al-Awlaki is the “spiritual leader” of al-Qaida in the Arabian peninsula, whose sermons at the Dar al-Hijrah Islamic Center in Falls Church, Virginia were attended by two hijackers who carried out the 9/11 attacks, Nawaf al-Hamzi and Hani Hanjour.
Likewise, Santorum believes that Fort Hood shooter and al-Awlaki disciple Nidal Malik Hasan is eligible to be President because he was born in Virginia.
Santorum doesn’t seem to grasp that the Founding Fathers put the natural born clause into the Constitution for a reason; to prevent those with dual allegiance like Anwar al-Awlaki, Nidal Malik Hasan and Barack Hussein Obama from becoming President."
Ah, this charming strawman argument. Actually, yes Anwar al-Awlaki and Nidal Malik Hasan would be eligible because they are natural-born US citizens. However, actually getting people to VOTE for them would be another matter entirely.
Considering that Obama placed Anwar al-Awlaki on the CIA's hit list (making him the first US citizen on said list), I suspect that al-Awlaki wouldn't exactly be able to mount an effective campaign. As for Hasan, it's hard to mount a campaign from the stockcade - or death row.
It IS rather cute of Sellin to link Obama's names to both al-Awalki and Hasan at the end like that though. Quite racist and insulting, but cute.
"The Republican establishment will continue to ignore Obama’s ineligibility and felonies because, due to cowardice and political correctness, they were derelict in not vetting Obama and have now become willing co-conspirators in the cover-up.
They do so because of their complicity, but also because they want to run against Obama in 2012 rather than a potentially stronger candidate like Hillary Clinton. The Republican leadership is also clearing the path for their own ineligible candidate, Marco Rubio."
Ignoring the fact that Hillary Clinton has said repeatedly she won't run again, Rubio a natural born US citizen. One suspects that Sellin and his birtherstani comrades don't like Rubio because he's a tad bit dusky.....
19 September - Zampolit Dean Haskins shows us an example of birtherstani wit and humour.
"Miki Booth had the rare opportunity to capture an image of Barry standing outside the Baskin-Robbins on King St. in Honolulu where he used to work. Didn't he say he couldn't spend all his time with his birth certificate plastered on his forehead?"
I'd say immature and childish, but since we're talking Dean Haskins, childish and immature are pretty much implied.
19 September - Get the feeling there's a turf war between Dr. Orly and Jerome Corsi?? (Malware and redirect warning)
"What is the real motivation of World Net Daily?"
I suspect enriching Joseph Farah's wallet at the expense of anything like "truth", "reality", or "journalistic ethics".
"A number of individuals told me, that World Net Daily is sending flyers via e-mail, asking for donations for Gary Kreep, who together with Philip Berg is harassing me with a bogus law suit, full of insane accusations, such as: attorney Orly Taitz tried to hire a hit man to kill Lisa Liberi, assistant of attorney Philip Berg, she also tried to hire the same hit-man to kidnap children of of former volunteer web master Lisa Ostella, who diverted money from Taitz’s foundation. Ostella, also, found some dead rabbits near her home in New Jersey and thinks that attorney Taitz killed those rabbits."
So she drags the birtherstani civil war into this as well.
"I am also questioning another fact. When a number of constituents met with Joe Arpaio and he announced that he will look into eligibility, I called a person, who organized this meeting and asked, if he can arrange for me to meet with Arpaio and show him the evidence on Social Security fraud. About an hour after this conversation I got a call from Gerome Corsi, who asked me not to talk to Arpaio about Social Security, as he stated that Arpaio is not sure, he will deal with this issue, and adding one more issue will make him drop it all together."
So basically Corsi told Dr. Orly "Back off Bitch, the sherriff is MINE!!!!!!"
"Originally I agreed, however now I believe, that this is the most explosive issue, easiest to prove, and it is a mistake not to bring it to Arpaio. A number of people tried to reach Arpaio, sent him all the info, but so far he did not agree to meet with me and talk about SSN fraud. "
Maybe Corsi met his crazy quota for the month??
19 September - And the Phoenix New Times confirms that Arpaio's cold case posse has had the buck passed on tot them.
"In a bizarre new stab at courting conspiracy nuts who believe President Barack Obama is a Kenyan, Sheriff Joe Arpaio has empowered a "birther posse" to look into claims by wackadoodles such as World Net Daily's Jerome Corsi that Obama's birth certificate from Hawaii is a forgery.
Yes, I know, it's hard to believe, but even after the president made the unprecedented move earlier this year of having his original, long form birth certificate from Hawaii released to the public, there is still a stubborn passel of flat-Earther lunatics who refuse to accept that Obama is a natural born citizen of the United States, and thus qualified to hold the highest office in the land."
Well, yeah.
"Maricopa County Sheriff's Office spokesman Jesse Spurgin confirmed WND's report.
"The Sheriff has asked his "Cold Case Posse" to examine the information that was provided to make a determination as to the veracity of this claim," he wrote to me via e-mail. "A new posse HAS NOT been created to investigate the birth certificate claim."
Um, okay. Thing is, even if the cost is not coming out of county, taxpayers do ultimately foot the bill. Tax-exempt contributions are those folks can deduct on their income tax returns, which means the government loses whatever tax money it would have scored otherwise."
It's not like Arpaio has cared much for saving taxpayer dollars in the past.
"Which is why I'm suggesting Arpaio have his crack birther posse team look into UFO and chupacabra sightings, hunt for the Lost Dutchman Mine, examine casts of Sasquatch's footprints, and find out if the Illuminati really do run the world."
*Snork*
19 September - Dr. Orly is a slow learner.
"So-called "birther queen" Orly Taitz is considering running for Sen. Dianne Feinstein's seat in 2012."
So expect a lawsuit against Feinstein claiming the senator is ineligible and demanding the courts give her the office by default.
"I think I do have a chance specifically because I do speak Spanish and I speak Hebrew," Taitz told the Sacramento Bee following a town hall event on Latino issues at the California Republican Party convention."
Somehow I suspect her Spanish is limited to ordering at Del Taco and ordering her gardener and housestaff around.
19 September - You can add Andrew Breitbart to the "Wahh, I want a revolt!" crowd.
"Speaking to a Massachusetts tea party group recently, conservative blogger Andrew Breitbart made some comments that are raising eyebrows online this week, telling the small gathering of Republicans that he sometimes wants to “fire the first shot.”
“I’m under attack all the time,” he said. “The call me gay. There are death threats… There are times when I’m not thinking as clearly as I should, and in those unclear moments, I always think to myself, ‘Fire the first shot. Bring it on.’ Because I know who’s on our side.
“They can only win a rhetorical and propaganda war. They cannot win. We outnumber them in this country and we have the guns… I’m not kidding. They talk a mean game, but they will not cross that line because they know what they’re dealing with. ”
So basically he's upset that those nasty "liberals" are saying things about him he doesn't like. So his response is a civil war that would allow him to round up "liberals" and shoot them.
Awfully thin-skinned of him.
"Breitbart added that “major named people in the military” will sometimes “grab” him and say, “Thank you for what you’re doing, we’ve got your back.”
"Wahhh! Where's my military coup!! I WANT MY MILITARY COUP!!!"
Doesn't seem like there's many there, does it.......
19 September - Over at Salon, Alex Pareene comments on Arpaio's "posse"
"WND is not exactly known for its accuracy in reporting, so this story could be imaginary, but assuming it's not, I can't imagine anyone finding anything wrong with the prospect of a white western sheriff forming a volunteer "posse" to go after a black man. That certainly doesn't have any incredibly ugly historical echoes."
19 September - ABC15 in Arizona comments on Arpaio's "cold case posse". And the fact it doesn't look like Arpaio is actually doing any investigation.
"Spokesperson Lisa Allen tells ABC15 MCSO is not conducting any investigation.
She says the “Cold Case Posse” is an all-volunteer group of people with law enforcement experience.
According to Allen, it is one of 55 volunteer citizen groups helping Arpaio.
Allen says their work is paid for by private donations, not taxpayers."
Wow. You think maybe Corsi........oh, I dunno, lied about things??
Again?
19 September - At Slate, David Wegel comments on Arpaio.
"...Arpaio tells Jerome Corsi -- who is to the birther investigation what Walter Duranty was to coverage of the Soviet Union -- that "if a complaint is legitimate, I don't dump it into the wastebasket." Does any Phoenix resident want to test this theory and ask for an investigation of David Icke's "reptilian rulers of the world" hypothesis? There's just as much evidence that Obama is a shape-shifting lizard -- which would pose real eligibility issues -- as evidence that he's not really American."
Well, the Pest and eFail DID do a story on just that....

The thought of Irey and Woodman going at it on MEEESTER GAGHRABAAALDEE's show does have a definite something to it, doesn't it? :D

Suranis - totally agreed! (Another B5 fan here).
Re: Pat Boone - Wow. Boy, he's really become a senile old racist, pissing away his legacy on gullible hate-based conspiracy nonsense, hasn't he? How sad & pathetic. The man comes across dumb and looney tunes.

"... it sounds odd that a "volunteer" posse would be inactive due to budget constraints...."
beer & chaw ain't cheap, y'know!

"The Post & Email spoke with “Race Bannon” several months ago, and while he could make no further comment on his previous account of a chance meeting with Obama in Hawaii, he stood by the story."
would that be the same race bannon who said: "this is for a college short story, still in progress" ...?
by all means, professional seditionist sharon rondeau, run with that.

One think that particularly galls me about the way some of these birthers talk is how often they talk about someone having or not having their "papers."
I remember when I was growing up, one of the things that got referenced frequently was how in Russia, you had to have your "papers" on you and in order if you wanted to travel from one place to another or go to a specific destination and so forth. I heard how in many cases the police would seem to find the most minuscule flaw imaginable in someone's paperwork as an excuse to detain them, making "papers" a tool of intimidation and repression.
How ironic is it that the party that worked so hard to turn the communists into the ultimate bogeyman are now using a number of the same tactics they claimed made the communists so evil as What We Must Do Now to beat the terrorists (and that great friend of the terrorists, President Obama.)

So, now the birth certificate is a forgery because someone who *REMEMBERS OBAMA BEING BORN AT THE HOSPITAL* says a different doctor signed it? WTF? Wouldn't the fact that someone at the hospital who *REMEMBERS THE BIRTH* be a pretty clear indicator that Obama was, shall we say BORN THERE?? And if so, doesn't that make any of the issues surrounding his birther certificate somewhat moot, since the whole point of claiming that forged birth certificate is supposed to be proof that there is some kind of socialist/marxist/builderberger/new world order/illuminati/ and/or alien conspiracy underway to install an unqualified man in the White House in order to take over and destroy America?

> She's been ripping off her clothes and skinny-dipping into Lake Conspiracy more and more of late.
Common for cranks. They start off with a little thing (like losing a court case they think they should've won) and end up with the motherlode of conspiracy madness (as in "the US aren't really a country because some contract from 1106 makes that impossible, besides we're being ruled by alien space goats anyway").

I believe it was Loren Collins who explained that Race Bannon only reported this alleged meeting he had with Obama after about a year of posting anti-Obama crap on Free Republic. It all just came to him one day! Race Bannon is a lying Freeper bastard, moreso than the lying Fantasy Writer over there.

It’s not my opinion that the educational system in America is graduating people with LESS knowledge than ten, twenty, or even thirty years ago,
Of course, that has NOTHING to do with Republican education (non) priorities and local school boards being stacked with conservatives who have made it their mission to remove science from science classes - among other things... Yeesh!

Just noticed Jeanene Van Zandt commenting on Jerome Corsi's facebook page -- full on birther, tea party nut... I cannot imagine that Townes Van Zandt would have approved of that wingnuttery -- He seemed to write a lot of his songs about the down trodden and common working man and had compassion - something tea party types/birthers seem to be severely lacking.

He was a flawed man himself but I shudder to think he would have anything to do with this movement.

We won the election and now these sore losers will continue to spew your hate with lies (They hate and can’t debate). The way our court system works is that you get a competent lawyer (Strike One), verifiable facts (Strike Two) and present them to a judge, if the facts are real and not half baked internet lies, then, and only then, you proceed to trial (Strike three). The Birthers seem to be having a problem with their so call facts (internet lies) that they present. Let’s face it no reasonable man or woman will go along with you until you guys win a case, but until then, you will continue to appear dumb, crazy or racist, or maybe all three. You guys are a bunch of sore losers and feeding on your own is still foolish.
