In today's dispatches, we have Paul Irey doing a wonderful imitation of Gallus gallus domesticus. Ulsterman and Lame Cherry both come out with new nuggets of fecal fiction, which Dr. Kate then lovingly laps up.

Daryn Moran's video may be officially removed, but copies still float around. Including copies with defense from Moran pére. We have the return of the Pest and eFail's (heavily censored, party-line) comments, along with their usual whiney letters. Dr. Orly courts the wrath of Jerome Corsi, while Neal Turner has an interesting definition of "honor".

The courts tell Pupura "no, you can't have appeal, not yours." Erik Rush comes up with a conspiracy that's so wackadoodle that Polarik must be screaming that they're stealing his act. Lawrence Sellin appears at the Pest and eFail to trash-talk the GOP. And Dean Haskins, realizing that the paypal might dry up after Birtherpoolza, comes up with a "non-profit" with a name that sounds less political and more like an embarrassing fungal infection.

26 September - I can't say I'm surprised, but Paul Irey has refused John Woodman's offer to publically debate Irey's claims.

"I spoke with Paul Irey this morning, and he stated that he won’t be taking me up on my challenge to debate, in the largest possible venue, the evidence regarding the fonts.

If you’ve been following the issue, you’ll know that Mr. Irey claims, based on his 50 years of typography experience, that different fonts are clearly used in President Barack Obama’s birth certificate — meaning that it’s a clear forgery. Irey has claimed that his evidence was “irrefutable,” that “There’s no doubt the Obama birth certificate is a forgery,” and that he was willing to stake his reputation on the claim.

I have presented evidence in my book that first, Mr. Irey’s original analysis was so flawed as to make it completely useless (and I state exactly why), and secondly, that there doesn’t actually seem to be any decent evidence that any different fonts were used.

On the contrary, my own careful analysis, conducted over a period of days, produced results that were pretty much in line with what I would have expected from a genuine document."

It also notes - correctly - that Irey had looked at the long form with the intent of finding evidence of forgery - a case of bias from the very start.

"Mr. Irey has stated that he “knew” in advance that the birth certificate was a forgery and was “just looking for what I could find to prove that.”"

So what were the reasons for Irey chickening out? One was that Irey was afraid it might upset Jerome Corsi.....

"Except that he has become friends with Dr. Jerome Corsi (the world’s most widely-known proponent of the birth certificate forgery theories), and he doesn’t think Dr. Corsi would like for him, by debating me, to shine any light of attention on my book. The implication seems to be that if my book were more widely known, that might not be a good thing for Dr. Corsi. (I can believe that, of course, but it’s an interesting admission.)

This is made more ironic by the fact that originally, Irey actually “beat me to the punch” by challenging me to a mini-debate in the comments page of his article. He was willing to debate me then, because the venue was small, the stakes were low and he had no idea what my analysis was or what I might say. Now that the stakes have gone up and he’s read my actual analysis, Mr. Irey has backed out.

All of this, of course, raises the question: If Jerome Corsi has good evidence, then why doesn’t he welcome scrutiny of it? And if Paul Irey’s evidence is any good, then why wouldn’t Corsi welcome an open debate about it?"

Simple - the last thing World Nut Daily, Joseph Farah, or Jerome Corsi needs is proof positive they're lying though their teeth.

28 September - Oh look. Another work of fiction from "Ulsterman". Is there anyone stupid or insane enough to actually believe this guy still??

29 September - Marsha Blackburn, Member of Congress for the 7th Congressional District of Tennessee, gets a whiney and vaguely threatening email. And the Pest and eFail is there.

29 September - The Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit rules on the appeal of the Tea Party / Birther case Purpura v Sebelius.

29 September - Now that he's gonna be at Birtherpoolza, Erik Rush has to establish his birtherstani bona fides. Which he does with a Polarik-like claim that Stanley Ann Dunham's pictures were altered to hide the "fact" she was at Malcolm X's funeral!

So what's the proof?? Well, it's hard to say, because he goes on for ten paragraphs about Stanley Ann Dunham's hair, tilt of head, eyes, chin, and mouth. But nothing at all to establish any sort of connection between Malcolm X and Stanley Ann Dunham until:

Because her lover, her idol, the father of her son Barack – Malcolm X – had just been assassinated."

That's nice, but you STILL haven't shown anything to show a connection.

To make the story steamier: Marable further states that Malcolm’s “teenage lover” had been having an affair with one of his entourage [guards, assistants, etc.] This speaker could be the man to whom Marable refers."

So let me get this straight:

Erik Rush claims that Stanley Ann Dunham was in the front row at Malcolm X's funeral. His "proof" is that there is a caucasian woman in the front row who doesn't really look much like Stanley Ann Dunham. He then explains this away by claiming that every single picture of Stanley Ann Dunham from that time period has been photoshopped to change the resemblance

This claim is on a bullet train straight into Conspiracy Central. It's almost Polarik-level batshittery

I see there is a P&E update today from Moran the Moron in which he reveals that he did go to DC & has been warned by the Secret Service yet again.

He whines that he is running out of cash and that no other Birthers have come to join him on his quest. He's put out a desperate plea to the Birther community & WND to publish his screed and encourage other Birthers to join him in DC before his financial ability to stay there completely runs out.

He fits that same description. He is all bark and no bite (thankfully, at least so far). He is just trying to be a martyr and incite a lone wolf to join him and do his dirty work for him. Fortunately, the rest of the birther community is made up of folks who are even more cowardly armchair warriors than he is, so he's more likely to get *crickets* and excuses instead of any compatriots on his fools quest.

Yes, I think you've given them too much credit. As others often say, ODS causes brain damage. Such irrational hate has made them dumb as a brick. They are hopeless beyond hope.

The question in my mind is just how much further can they deteriorate as a result of this condition. They seem to truly be approaching "Darwin Award Candidate" territory.

I fondly remember one guy in the P&E comments section who wrote about his not coming to the "National Action Day" (or whatever Theresa Cao's rally was called) with the excuse of "I'd have to sleep in the car". Gee, those people are really *really* fine "protectors of the Constitution". Kiddies are willing to sleep on the streets to get tickets for Robbie Williams, but people believing there is a "national emergency and constitutional crisis" can't even spend one night in their car...
