I am firmly convinced had the Secret Service not stopped Jednoralski, he would have gone armed and bloodshed would have ensued. The man is a complete nutter.

MaryRC

That story about Walter Fitzpatrick stealing personal information about the grand jury members struck a chill down my spine. How do you suppose the jury members feel? I'd be getting a restraining order now, why wait?

G

I agree with Xyxox and in the very important opening message you delivered on the inherent dangers of these rabid idiots, Patrick. Very well said! As you know quite well from my posts, I strongly concur with everything you just said on the matter.

It really is not a matter of if, but when some of these crazies cross the line again and all we can do is be vigilant and hope that appropriate law enforcement and Secret Service resources are as well.

Some other quick comments on today's batch of Birtherdom:

1) re: Neal Jednoralski's tweet referencing "Killing Lincoln"... yeah... quite chillingly telling what kind of mindset that dimwit had going into this. Sadly, I suspect we haven't heard the last from him and it is clear that he didn't learn his lesson either...

2) re: your 4 choices to explain Phil Berg - The answer is 4 - any and all of the above.

3) re: Ablow on Fox - what he's really upset about is that the ODS folks can't get Obama to act as frothing mad as he makes them... ha! It really comes down to folks that can't control their own emotional impulses and therefore deeply resent (and also can't understand) someone who has the maturity to do so.

4) re: Orly & NH. Yeah, I don't see Orly getting any local representation to join her on this fools errand. As much as I'd like to see the NH Supreme Court play rope-a-dope & grant her rights to petition their court, just to severely smack down and sanction their ass, I just don't see that happening. I think they will simply dismiss her frivolous case without comment.

I will be more interested to see if these 9 NH legislature Birthers are able to get themselves re-elected next year...

Furthermore, as I pointed out in the comments of the previous post, NONE of the Birther "wannabe Presidential Candidates" are actually Presidential Candidates filed under the NH Primary Ballots. Nor are they citizens eligible to vote in NH. Therefore, they have no claims to "standing" in her attempted "class action" here whatsoever at all.

Those similar lame ballot access challenge attempts by Orly, the P&E, etc. that you pointed out in GA & IN, etc. are DOA as well. Yes, we all knew this would be one of the main Birther "Great White Hopes" pushed for 2012... but it will turn out to be even less successful for them then their 100% failure record in the courts. HA!

5) re: Dean Haskins "SuperPac" & "Constitutional Petition" plans. LOL! Gee... a desperate plea for money and attempts to get 500,000 signatures, just so they can do a lousy letter writing campaign to various office holders... *YAWN* Yeah... because those strategies have worked out *so well* for them over the past 3 years. LMAO! Dean is really angling to be the Fail King for 2012, isn't he... what a joke!

6)re: Sheriff Joe Arpaio - an interesting tidbit was leaked here in WND's latest "claims"....

So now Sherrif Joe is claiming "February" for his big "findings report"... hmmm... I see the date keeps getting pushed back. In that last town hall video with the TeaBirthers & Orly, wasn't he claiming by January???

Anyone wanna bet that before February, the "any day now" date will get pushed back yet again? LOL! So far, seems like he's doing nothing but coming up with delaying excuses to string them along...

> It really is not a matter of if, but when some of these crazies cross the line again

I think those who simply try to "arrest" the President peacefully will come first. After a couple of such attempts have failed, expect one of them to "take it to the next level".

Tarrant

If there were actual and legitimate threats against Sheriff Arpaio's person, he could investigate. Death threats against most public officials of that type is a crime. Of course, there's no crime in him or Corsi continually SAYING he's getting threatened sans evidence.

It is hard for me to fathom a situation, especially given how crazy with power Arpaio gets when anyone actually challenges him (arresting even members of the county government because they challenge him, etc.) where he believes there is a legitimate threat against his person but doesn't investigate or refer it to prosecutors.

Claiming that one is being threatened because of the "insider information" one has is a favorite tactic for people everywhere.

Shay

Ol' Neal is strangely unaware that the enlistment oath is the same for everybody.

"I, (NAME), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God."

Except that wierdos like, y'know, atheists and Hindus and them can leave off the God part.

Norbrookc

I'm sure that Arpaio gets death threats on a regular basis, but not for being a birther. Anyone who has followed his career over the past few years could see why he'd attract them.

MacLeran is just psychotic. He obviously has no clue about the Constitution, and seems to somehow believe that "veterans" will join his "uprising." The fact that there's an awful lot of veterans who aren't white and would take great exception to his rhetoric - along with most white veterans - doesn't seem to register with him.

The Magic M

> Claiming that one is being threatened because of the "insider information" one has is a favorite tactic for people everywhere.

Well, maybe he's already preparing for a very disappointing report of his "cold case posse". He could always claim that he was told to leave out some parts because of "national security", or he could ominously allude that he couldn't follow every lead for "undisclosed reasons".

Mtinmo

The birthers are getting crazier and crazier by the minute. I am concerned they will escalate their violence and threats against the president as more and more of their BS claims are rejected by more and more courts in state after state. As far as Arpaio is concerned- he is as big a nut-bag as any of the birthers with delusions of power because he carries a gun, which is surely to make up for other things he doesn't have.

Birther forum where they openly display their racism. Who would have guessed the modern KKK were all birthers?

whodunit - Three posts in and I feel ill.

whodunit

Be warned, some of the comments on that site are extremely repulsive - enough to make you sick at your stomach. Death threats galore, the most extreme racist and homocidal comments I've ever read in one place. Just thought I'd link it because these people are obviously fans of and contributors to sites such as WND.com and Obamareleaseyourrecords - articles are linked to to the most common birther sites from there.

whodunit

I don't blame you, the feeling is mutual.

The next time you see a birther or conservative trying to make the case that liberals and democrats are the party of the KKK: that would be a good site to link them to.

When I read articles on sites like Canada Free Press suggesting getting rid of "Politically Correct" because it "violates their right to free speech" -- What they really wish is to be able to be openly racist and not be called out on it.
