20 April - "Oathkeeper" Charles Dyer, aka “July4Patriot.” has been found guilty in an Oklahoma court of raping his daughter.
"In the end, the antigovernment rhetoric that so energized his defense couldn’t save Charles Dyer, the former Marine and member of the antigovernment Oath Keepers organization accused of raping his own daughter. Late Thursday, after four hours of deliberation, a Duncan, Okla., jury convicted Dyer and recommended a 30-year sentence.
After the verdict was read, Dyer’s hands and feet were bound in chains. His face hardened and he did not mutter a word. The only claims of innocence had come earlier as he testified. “I believe in my heart that my daughter is a victim of sexual abuse. … [But] I’ve never hurt anyone in my life, especially not my daughter,” Dyer said.
The case drew national attention after Dyer failed to appear in court for trial in 2010. 21 April - The selection of Pat Boone as commencement speaker at Adrian College is met with some flak, in part due to his views on homosexuality, but also in small part due to his birtherism.
"On the "About" section of a Facebook page with the title "Keep Pat Boone off of Adrian College's Campus," it says Mr. Boone, "spends his time as a political pundit, promoting his views of racism, sexism, homophobia, and religious intolerance."
The central complaint by those opposed to his selection appears to be a 2008 article Mr. Boone wrote on WorldNetDaily, comparing the terrorist attacks in Mumbai to the campaign of opponents to California Proposition 8, which defined marriage in the state as between a man and a woman.
"What troubles me so deeply, and should trouble all thinking Americans," Mr. Boone wrote, "is that there is a real, unbroken line between the jihadist savagery in Mumbai and the hedonistic, irresponsible, blindly selfish goals and tactics of our homegrown sexual jihadists."
Mr. Boone also has claimed President Obama was born in Kenya and that his long-form birth certificate is fraudulent."
So the main reasons seems to be Boone's racism, bigotry and homophobia.

He also said they should have been shot. Clearly, it’s not President Obama who has been flirting with committing treason against America. It’s the Republicans"

Patrick, the Examiner.com is a collection of content farms owned by a right wing billionaire called Philip Anschutz. This explains the plethora of birther blather posted on those sites. As you regularly note, they're not actual news sites. They're not there to inform, they are designed to draw viewers and get clicks to earn advertising revenue. So there's not much difference between WND and examiner.com, with the possible exception that WND probably doesn't depend nearly as much on freelance contributors.

I found your site via the link at The Fogbow. Until reading about Orly Taitz and her nonsensical filings against the President and his alleged 38 or so SS numbers along with a supposedly forged Secret Service application and long form birth certificate despite it being certified by officials from the state of Hawaii, I had no idea how pervasive the birther idiocy was in our country. I've read a few things at their site after stumbling upon it by accident and I was absolutely in awe of their ridiculous claims. I've been recovering from surgery and had a lot of spare time on my hands although the laughter caused by reading the birthers illogical rants didn't do my sutures any good. Now to read about their wanting to hold trials conducted solely by citizens is just about impossible to comprehend. If I hadn't seen so much of this crap, I would have believed I was reading The Onion. You had me going about your own "invitation" to join them until you got to the Denny's part but, to be honest, it wouldn't surprise me if that was true, either. Thanks for all the info and for the laughs. However, it's damn frightening to realize these people have the right to vote. They need to be declared insane, starting with Orly Taitz and her demands for punishment by hanging due to treasonous behavior. The treasonous behavior would apply far more to her than to anyone she's filed suit against or whatever it is that she's attempted to do legally, I don't think she even knows.
