In today's dispatches, Rush Limbaugh flirts with the birthers again. Joe Arpaio has a tantrum over the Maricopa CCCP birther tell all and the Department of Justice. Corsi seems to have Breitbart on the brain.
Dr. Kate wants Joe Biden to conduct a coup against President Obama. Tracey Fine makes Dr. Orly a painfully awful campaign ad. GOP officials in one county take the "win or else" approach to political discourse.
Mara Zebest shows herself to once again be zeworst at image analysis. It doesn't take much to rile up Birther Report anymore. The Democratic Party is starting to show signs of playing hardball with the birthers, while the California Birther Ballot Jihad shows the emotional and legal skills of a spoiled toddler.
And last but not least, a birther ballot jihad in South Dakota sets a new record for dismissal.
7 May - Rush Limbaugh is flirting with the birthers again.
"Limbaugh's nod to the fringe birther movement comes only two weeks after radio host and CNN contributor Dana Loesch revived the smear that Obama was educated in a "madras." CNN -- Loesch's own employer -- debunked the claim five years ago.Loesch defined a "madras" as "kind of like the equivalent in Islam of a Catholic school in Catholicism." However, this is problematic since the American media have primarily applied the word to radical schools that sprang up following the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan, many of which engage in anti-Western "political indoctrination." The term madras in this context is often purposefully used to stoke fears about Muslims.
Limbaugh has repeatedly entertained and promoted the notion that Obama is not a U.S. citizen. At the same time, he has also warned his listeners to be wary of birther theories, cautioning them against going down that "dead end street" and claiming he's "not going to be distracted" by such claims. "
7 May - Joe Arpaio is annoyed at the Maricopa CCCP "tell all" book by Michelle Dallacroce and Michael Bruning.
"The book co-authored by one of Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio's purported "special deputies"/ex-Sheriff's Posse member is "all wrong," according to the sheriff."
And his problems with it??
"Between "no comment" and "it's all wrong," Arpaio tells New Times that he didn't actually read the book apparently slamming his investigation into President Obama's birth certificate and other documents, but he's heard about it, and he's not agreeing with it."
So he actually hasn't read it, but he knows it's wrong.
Why do I suspect that Arpaio called Jerome Corsi to find out what Arpaio thought of the book? Saves time since all Arpaio does is parrot Corsi anyway.
"One of the things in the book we tried to verify with the Sheriff's Office late last week was the claim that conspiracy theorist Jerome Corsi was given "special deputy" status, while profiting off an investigation ordered in Arpaio's name.
Arpaio's PR folks didn't respond to whether Corsi's been given "special deputy" status, and that question today is what drew the "no comment" line from Arpaio."
So in other words, yes, yes Corsi DID get "special deputy" status. How very interesting….
8 May - Swiftboat liar Jerome Corsi spins a conspiracy web about Andrew Breitbart.
"A private investigator has been unable to find the only eyewitness to the sudden death of media innovator and conservative activist Andrew Breitbart.
The apparent disappearance of Christopher Lasseter, who says he saw Breitbart drop to the sidewalk in front of a restaurant, adds to the mystery surrounding Breitbart’s March 1 death."
O RLY??
"At the request of WND, Ohio-based private investigator Susan Daniels recruited a California-based private investigator to find Lasseter. The local investigator tried without success to find a cell phone or landline phone number for Lasseter."
This is the same Susan Daniels who has been a big Dr. Orly supporter and who was behind the myths about Obama's Social Security number. She's also repeatedly claimed the Social Security Administration doesn't issue new numbers despite the fact that the SSA states on their own website that they will in the event of identity theft or fraud.
I also find it funny that World Nut Daily couldn't find an LA investigator on their own.
"After determining that Lasseter lived with his parents, Thornton, age 64, and Elaine, age 56, at a Los Angeles address, the investigator visited the residence in-person to see if he could make contact.
During the visit, the investigator reported, no one picked up the phone when he dialed the Lasseter apartment number outside the building. But he was greeted by a voice recording that identified different people at the apartment by first name, with none of the names on the recording being Christopher, Thornton or Elaine.
The investigator concluded Christopher Lasseter had “hunkered down” in what seemed to be an attempt to avoid further questioning."
And the chances that the "PI" in question actually got the wrong address is……
On the other hand, World Nut Daily is starting to piss off their fellow right-wingers
"Filmmaker Steve Bannon, appointed executive chairman of the Breitbart News Network after Breitbart’s death, has insisted to WND that the media mogul died of natural causes and to suggest anything else is irresponsible.
“Breitbart had an enlarged heart,” Bannon told WND. “He had been hospitalized for the problem last year and told to lose weight that he did not lose.”
Bannon, formerly a Breitbart News Network board member, told WND that for months prior to his death, Breitbart had been working overtime to finalize a refinancing of his news agency.
“He died of natural causes,” Bannon said. “The family wants the matter put to rest, and WND is beginning to irritate me suspecting foul play.”
You know what's really sad about the whole thing? Andrew Breitbart, for all his many, many, many flaws, (not to mention glaring disregard for the truth), was not and never had been a birther. Indeed, he was openly critical of the birthers and saw them as harmful to the far-right. So for the birthers to hold him up as some martyr for the cause is a bit weird.
8 May - The Huffington post also comments on the Maricopa CCCP "tell all" book.
"The book, titled "A Question of Credibility: A Conflict of Interest," accuses Arpaio of not conducting the probe in good faith. It's written by fellow birthers Michelle Dallacroce, a former Arpaio "special deputy," and Michael Bruning, who charge that Arpaio has instead created a "public relation frenzy" as part of a "self-serving" stunt that won't produce results.
"It's all wrong," Arpaio told the Phoenix New Times of the book, going on to admit that he hadn't actually read it.."
Translation: "Corsi said it, I believe it, that settles it"
8 May - Dr. Kate dares to dream, the impossible dream….
"Dear President Biden:
As you are undoubtedly aware by now, Mr. Obama is not constitutionally eligible to hold the presidency. This makes you the current legal president of the United States and Mr. Obama an unlawful occupant of your office. Since no one has officially acknowledged this I will be the first to congratulate you, and probably the first to offer condolences for the lack of recognition of this fact."
Translation - "Dear Vice-President Biden. I'm an unhinged wackadoodle"
"You have always had it within your power to redress the situation of Congress’ failure to certify Mr. Obama’s constitutional qualifications. Under the Twenty-Fifth Amendment, you are able to recommend, with the majority of the cabinet, the removal of the President for a ‘disability‘ that makes him unable to fulfill the obligations of the office. As an officer of the United States, you should also know about Title 18 and the misprision of treason and felony statutes requiring the disclosure of activity that would be considered a crime under the laws of the United States."
"Dear Vice-President Biden. Please conduct a coup against President Obama. The water tells me you need to."
And in comments:
"drkate

If the GOP chooses Rubio as its VP candidate, I will take my friend’s advise and focus everything on the destruction of the GOP as traitors to America."
Maybe you and Lawrence Sellin can start the "Crazy Seditionists Party"
8 May - Arthur Goldwag comments on Corsi's conspiracies about Breitbart.
"Corsi floats about 15 trial balloons in the article (and also admits that he’s driving Breitbart’s family crazy). The last sentence suggests the broad outlines that the theory will ultimately take: “On Feb 5, Breitbart had dinner cooked by Ayers at the home of Ayers and Dohrn after Daily Caller publisher Tucker Carlson won a “Super Bowl Dinner” auctioned off by Ayers for $2,500.” Dinner on February 5; death on March 1.
Slow-acting poison anyone? I’m going to throw in my 2 cents and suggest that Tucker Carlson was also involved–why wouldn’t he want to eliminate one of his biggest competitors? You have to admit that the Daily Caller been suspiciously quiet about this whole thing."
8 May - The OC Weekly talks about Dr. Orly's campaign ad (which, it seems, was made for Dr. Orly by Tracy Fine aka "KenyanBornObamAcorn". Tracey Fine also does the narration.)
"Orly Taitz's U.S. Senate campaign has released a 4-minute video that is said by orlytaitzesq.com to have "improved sound."
One wonders if that improvement is there being no sound of the dentist/lawyer/real-estate saleslady/Obama denier/Zsa Zsa Gabor impersonator's voice."
Here's the video
Tracey Fine sounds like she's been smoking asbestos-tipped road flares. And all the video is lacking is the outline of a man and two robots in the corner offering commentary.
8 May - Oh how charming.
From the March newsletter (PDF) of the Greene County, Virginia Republican Committee, written by the editor, one Ponch Keith McPhee:
"We have before us a challenge to remove an ideologue unlike anything world history has ever witnessed or recognized.
An individual who has come to power within a Nation which yields it’s strength over the entire world.
An elected leader who shuns biblical praise, handicaps economic ability, disrespects the honor of earned military might.
In the coming days and weeks ~ we the people must come to grasp as a common force, our very soul’s, that our future as a sovereign nation is indeed at risk.
If every single individual that you know, would contact 25 other individuals ~ we can make a difference that will be heard across the Commonwealth and in Washington.
The ultimate task for the people is to remain vigilant and aware ~ that the government, their government is out of control, and this moment, this opportunity, must not be forsaken, must not escape us, for we shall not have any coarse but armed revolution should we fail with the power of the vote in November ~ This Republic cannot survive for 4 more years underneath this political socialist ideologue."
Nothing like "if we don't win, we're going to have an armed rebellion and YOU'LL BE SORRY" to further political discourse in this country.
9 May - The Walton (Georgia) Tribune has some commentary about our favorite birthers, and the general blind raging hatred of President Obama in general:
"Made-up codswallop, all of it. But then that’s the trademark of the extreme Republican right and its allies in their wild frenzy of mudslinging. The Internet is also rife with this garbage, a large portion of it racist. Here’s University of Texas Republican Prez Cassandra Wright: “My president is black, he snorts a lot of crack.” It’s also violent. Hours after some tosser fired a high-powered rifle at the White House, Wright’s predecessor Lauren Pierce tweeted how tempting it might be to shoot Obama."
How charming:
"And then there’s Larry Sinclair, the ex-con who keeps chirruping that Barack’s his boyfriend. Lyin’ Larry keeps failing polygraph tests but the Obama haters keep hoisting him onto his soapbox."
Yeah, it's amazing how they think a convicted felon has any credibility.
But then they also believe Lucas Smith.
"And the birthers refuse to die. That oddball quartet reciting the only song they know, a tuneless dirge entitled “Obama Ain’t American” despite Hawaii’s official release of both his short and long birth certificates. They are lawyer Gary Kreep, conspiracy theorist Jerome Corsi and the scary-strange Russian person Orly Taitz, plus leader Yussuf Farah, editor of WorldNet Daily, whose pure Arab blood, brush mustache and glib, dishonest discourse would be more befitting a used camel salesman."
*Snork!!*
9 May - Let's do a quick round-up of the inmates at Birther Report, shall we??
"Anonymous said…[Reply]…Obama's true goal is to remove guns from all civilians. He dreams of having a "civilian national security force just as strong, just as powerful, just as well-funded as the military".
Only a COWARDLY IMPOTENT Dictator requires A CIVILIAN POLICE Force controlling UNARMED CIVILIANs; Hitler had one.
Hitler confiscated all civilian's weapons.Obama is an INSANE, SOCIOPATHIC, AND DERANGED MONSTER!!
A 5-STAR GENERAL SHOULD IMMEDIATELY ARREST HIM, TAKE HIM INTO CUSTODY, RELIEVE HIM FROM DUTY, AND COURT-MARTIAL HIM UNDER MILITARY LAW.
Those who forget the past are doomed to repeat it; dim-wit Obama needs to be tutored about the Rise and Fall of the Third Reich….
Never mind that the last US flag officer to hold five star rank (General of the Army/General of the Air Force/Admiral of the Navy), was Gen. Omar Bradley, who died in 1981……

"Commykiller said…[Reply] -To listen to the whining about how every single solitary judge/politician/media figures etc are being bought of or threatened is quite pathetic. To Listen to the STUPIDITY of the MSM Brainwashed Commie Rat Bastards like YOU is Nauseating..! Only a COMMUNIST TRAITOR argues the meaning of the Natural Born Clause, such as the Judge and yourself.
-The law and the Constitution around US birth place conferring NBC status is what it is, don't like it, then convince enough of Congress, Senate and State legislators and get a Constitutional Amendement raised and passed.
The law IS what it is. And what it is, is clear. "BLOOD AND DIRT" You SCUMBAG..! And if you can't get your head around that, then you too ARE the ENEMY. And GUILTY of TREASON you are…

I think "Commiekiller" meant to say "blood and dirt" in the original German….
9 May - Over at the American Stinker, disgruntled PUMA and "Adobe Expert" Mara Zebest turns her "technical skills" on a new target - claiming that the situation room picture of President Obama and staff is a photoshop job.
No really.
Shades of Polland/Polarik's claims that all of President Obama's high school and college photos are photoshopped as well.
"The concept of a composite presidency certainly comes as no shock as someone who participated as a contributor and authored evidence presented at Sheriff Joe Arpaio's press conference on Obama's long-form birth certificate report."
Not to mention that your "evidence" was debunked MONTHS before the Arpaio/Corsi dog and pony show. Not surprising, as the "Adobe Expert" you claim to be didn't seem to notice that the long form PDF wasn't CREATED by any Adobe product.
"What do you think? Photoshopped, or is my imagination simply on overload from too many composite stories emanating from the White House?"
What do I think? I think you're desperately trying to find anything at all you can trot out as "proof" of some conspiracy or another, and that you're still upset that "Dear Hillary" didn't the primaries in 2008.
9 May - The Atlantic Wire takes a couple pot shots at Zebest's latest attempt to get birther street cred.
"It's worth noting, of course, that the post's author Mara Zebest has used similar analysis to "prove" the president's birth certificate is a fake. Her argument didn't convince us, or many others. Bloomberg's Joshua Green tweets, "the new birtherism." "Birtheresque!" says Reuters' Jack Shafer. Our objections aren't so much technical as they are logical. Why would the White House Photoshop this particular photo in this way? If you were the White House, and you had a blank Photoshop slate from which to start, wouldn't you do something even more triumphant? Like, perhaps, Obama's fist pounding a giant red "KILL" button on his Oval Office desk or something?"
9 May - On the other hand, the brainstem trust at Birther Report is all over Zebest's latest blatherings.

Someone else seems to think that "Presidenting while black" is a crime….
9 May - You know, it looks like the Democratic party is through in court patting the birthers on the heads and telling them to run away now. As Van Irion and John Dummett (pronounced "du-FUS") are learning in their "drop and dash" case in Arizona.
(Scribd link to support for motion to dismiss here)
"Plaintiffs' best efforts to confuse the issues and conceal their true motives, their "Opposition to Defendants' Motion to Dismiss" fails to cure the pervasive procedural and substantive defects in their Second Amended Complaint ("SAC"). For the sake of judicial economy, the DNC Defendants wil not engage in a point-by-point refutation of the arguments contained in Plaintiffs' Opposition, and are content to rest largely on the arguments set forth in their Motion to Dismiss. They do, however, wish to briefly discuss a few points."
Oh do tell.
"First, it is telling that Plaintiffs' Opposition does not attempt to justify the naming of the "National Democratic Part of the USA, Inc." as a defendant in this matter, or their attempted default of that sham organization. (See Doc. No. 24 at 2, n.1) The SAC, and all preceding and subsequent filings by Plaintiffs, should be viewed in light of this inexcusable attempt to perpetrate a fraud on the Court."
So Van Irion's attempt to sue a defunct organization seems to be a failure.
"Second, Plaintiffs' Opposition fails to establish that this dispute is ripe for adjudication. Though acknowledging that Robinson v. Bowen, 567 F. Supp. 2d 1144, 1147 (N.D. CaL. 2008) holds that judicial review of the qualifications of a presidential candidate "should occur only after the electoral and Congressional processes have run their course," Plaintiffs contend that in Drake v. Obama, 664 F.3d 774 (9th Cir. 2011), the Ninth Circuit overruled that case and "held that such claims would be justiciable before an election, but moot after an election has been held." (Doc. No. 26 at 12-13)This statement is a gross mischaracterization of the holding in Drake, which did not hold that a challenge to a presidential candidate's qualifications would be ripe prior to an election. Instead, it held that certain independent presidential candidates did not have standing to challenge President Obama's qualifications because, among other things, their complaint was died after the President had already been sworn in. 664 F.3d at 783-84. As a result, Robinson is good law, and strongly suggests that the Court lacks subject matter jurisdiction over the legal question at the heart of the SAC."
A birther? Misstate the facts? I'm shocked, shocked I say!
"Finally, Plaintiffs' attempts to distinguish the claims made in the SAC from those made in the panoply of federal court, state court, and state administrative decisions that have rejected similar claims that President Obama is not a "natural born citizen" of the United States ring hollow. At its heart, and despite the fact that it asserts causes of action sounding in tort against non-governental defendants, the SAC centers on the purely legal question of whether President Obama - indisputably born in the United States to a mother who was a citizen of the United States and a father who was not - is a "natural born citizen" and thus eligible to serve as President of the United States. Plaintiffs do not (and cannot) dispute that each and every court or administrative agency to examine this precise question has determined that he is, i nor have they advanced any reasonable argument that this Court should be the first to hold otherwise."
Oh come on. Since when has the birthers ever let the facts or reality get in the way of things?
"Based on the foregoing, the DNC Defendants respectfully request that Court grant their Motion to Dismiss with prejudice, and put an end to Plaintiffs' attempt to abuse the judicial process in furtherance of their misguided political agenda."
Yes, the gloves are off. Which is shown by:
(Scribd link to motion for sanctions here)
"Pursuant to Rule 11 of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure and 28 U.S.C. § 1927, Defendants Democratic National Committee and Debbie Wasserman Schultz (the "DNC Defendants") move that the Court impose sanctions against Van Irion, counsel for Plaintiffs in this matter, because (1) the legal theory that colors Plaintiffs' claims is unwarranted and has been rejected by each and every court and administrative body to consider it, and (2) Plaintiffs' Second Amended Complaint names as a defendant a sham organization with no affiiation with the DNC or Democratic Party."
Oh fun.
"Plaintiffs' SAC is founded on a frivolous legal theory that has been rejected by every court and administrative tribunal that has been forced to consider it. With full knowledge of the wholesale rejection of the conspiracy theory that President Barack Obama is not qualified to serve as President of the United States, Mr. Irion nonetheless signed and died that paper with the Court. In so doing, he misrepresented as a holding a question that the Supreme Court expressly left open, ignored subsequent Supreme Court precedent on point, failed to recognize the lack of legal support for his allegations, and failed to perform a reasonable inquiry into the propriety of naming the "National Democratic Party of the USA, Inc." as a defendant in this action. Each of these grounds supports the imposition of sanctions against Mr. Irion."
Yeah, they're getting cranky….
"As a result of the long-standing (and ever-expanding) body of law rejecting Plaintiffs' legal theory, Plaintiffs' claims are frivolous because they are not supported by existing law. An inquiry by a reasonable attorney would have revealed as much, and as a result, Mr. Irion's failure to conduct such an inquiry (or, alternatively, his choice to ignore the results of that inquiry) warrants the imposition of Rule 11 sanctions."
Once again the birthers legal history is used against them.
"This case is the latest in a long list of spurious attempts by the "birther movement" to use the courts as a tool in its campaign to force President Obama and those who support him to needlessly respond to frivolous challenges to his well-established status as a "natural born citizen" of the United States. This continuous stream of vexatious litigation must be stopped. The claims advanced by Plaintiffs in this case are unsupported by existing law and were made without reasonable inquiries into any number of substantive and procedural matters. As a result, the DNC Defendants respectfully request that the Court sanction Mr. Irion by ordering him to pay their reasonable attorneys' fees and costs incurred in defending this action, including the cost of preparing this motion, in addition to whatever additional sanctions the Court finds just and reasonable under the circumstances."
We can has sanctions now yes please??
10 May - It's hard to find a place outside of birtherstan in which the legal tactic of "Wahhh, the judge is a big ol' nasty poopyhead who lets people say mean things about us, wahhhhhhhh!!!" actually works and has validity.
Because that seems to be the tactic in the California Birther Ballot Jihad.
(Scribd link here)
"The matter continued to fester and nearly 200 lawsuits were filed all throughout the United States from 2008-2012. In each case the courts refused to hear the case on the merits and in each instance, the case was dismissed without a fair hearing. Each denial of justice became new “case law” and every single plaintiff was sent packing by the corrupt judges who ruled as tyrants and as courtroom-thugs"
So you start out insulting the entire legal system and in insisting "no,we're right the law and courts are wrong". That always works.
"There are currently one or more OBAMA BALLOT CHALLENGES objecting to Mr. Soetoro being placed on the 2012 ballot in 26 different states"
All of which have failed so far.
"There has been much controversy over the birth certificate matter and it came to a head on March 1, 2012. This was the day Sheriff Joe Arpaio held a news conference and reported that after six months of criminal investigation his cold case posse had determined that the birth certificate that Mr. Soetoro placed on the White House was/is a photo-shopped fraudulent document. On that date, Judge Michael P. Kenny became a felon and liable for impeachable criminal charges."
Oh, call the judge a felon and threaten him. That's going to go over well.
"Kenny is guilty of the following indiscretions:"
Such as?
"Judge Kenny has allowed disrespect to the plaintiffs in his court from the Respondents. He allowed the Respondents to sneer in their Demurrer, “This lawsuit is only the latest in a never- ending parade of frivolous “birther” actions challenging President Obama’s eligibility for office, all of which have been swiftly and decisively rejected by the courts."
So basically "how DARE the judge allow the defendants to tell the truth about us!!!
"As one of the Plaintiffs of Case No. 34-2012-80001048 I find this sort of insulting and flippant verbal assault to be discriminatory. Allowing such language in the Kenny courts an attack on my civil rights and my dignity as an American citizen"
"Wahhh! They said something that hurt my little feelings!! Wahhhhh!"
Thin-skinned bunch, aren't they?
"3. Judge Michael P. Kenny is guilty of Felony #2 (Perjury)
On March 16, 2012 a hearing was held before Judge Kenny (Dept 31). A transcript of that hearing was obtained and Judge Kenny committed perjury by stating:
THE COURT: Here is the difficulty there: Court's are neutral. What Court's do is basically hear the party's challenges, and the Court's then rule upon the facts and the law that is provided to the Court. The Court generally does not take a side.No "birther” in America can agree that ANY court in America has been NEUTRAL on the “eligibility” question. This is a pure and simple falsehood. I defy any court in America to find a single “birther litigant” that thinks the court has EVER, EVER, EVER been neutral (or fair). And the second falsehood was that "the court generally does not take a side." Again, this is pure bunk and pure lies. Not a single one of the 30+ million “birthers” in America believe that the Courts of America have NOT taken Mr. Soetoro's side. This includes the kangaroo military court of LTC Terry Lakin, and the kangaroo civilian courts thereafter… Justice in this matter is dead! And Judge Kenny is one of the ringleaders of this lawless judicial system."
It's funny that they can claim "30+ million birthers" when they have problems getting more than a handful to attend any of their rallies or events.
That being said, the legal argument here seems to be that the courts can't possibly be neutral because they keep relying on such quaint things like "facts" and "reality" and "the Constitution", and "evidence" and "rule of law", rather than accepting the birthers claims as gospel truth.
Birther logic - when reality clashes with your claims, then reality is at fault.
"4. Judge Michael P. Kenny is guilty of Libel
Although Judge Kenny did not actually “say the words,” printed court document showing allowable libelous words have been copied and reproduced onto various internet sites. The following Kenny Court allowable words have gone viral:
“This lawsuit is only the latest in a never-ending parade of frivolous “birther” actions challenging President Obama’s eligibility for office, all of which have been swiftly and decisively rejected by the courts.”This statement can be viewed online at the COURT DOCUMENTS AND CASES posted by theSacramento Superior Court. And since Judge Kenny was the JUDGE of this case, every word was uttered and printed under his control and direction. There has been no refutation of the words of Soetoro’s attorney nor of Debra Bowen’s (SoS) attorney the ATTORNEY GENERAL OF CALIFORNIA so there can be no error or pleading it was just sloppy courtroom etiquette.
"WAAHHHH!! THE JUDGE HURT MY FEELINGS!!!!!"
And then, just to make them appear even more thin-skinned, they include eight pages of people discussing their case from "The Fogbow".
Again, "WAHHH!! PEOPLE ARE SAYING MEAN THINGS ABOUT ME!!!!!"
"5. Judge Kenny has failed to uphold the FALSE BIRTH CERTIFICATE section of the California Penal Code.
Charges of a “manufactured” Birth Certificate was levied at Mr. Soetoro (aka BHO) in the courtroom of Judge Michael P. Kenny. Kenny did not care that a Penal Code violation was being reported to him…"
Well, since the State of Hawaii has (repeatedly) confirmed the birth certificate as authentic and legitimate, maybe the judge figured the "Full Faith and Credit" clause of the Constitution was in play….
10 May - Meanwhile in South Dakota, another Birther Ballot Jihad.
"A Rapid City man is trying to remove President Barack Obama from the South Dakota ballot, saying he’s not a natural-born citizen and isn’t eligible to be president.
Thomas Scheveck’s complaint will be heard on Friday by the state Board of Elections.
Scheveck says Obama is not a natural-born citizen because his father, Barack Obama, Sr., was not a citizen."
Thomas Scheveck, BTW, appeared more than once in the whiney letters portions of the Pest and eFail.
"Ben Nesselhuf, chairman of the South Dakota Democratic Party, dismissed Scheveck’s complaint.
“This is an issue I thought was settled long ago, but some people just don’t let the facts get in the way of a good conspiracy theory,” Nesselhuf said."
Indeed
"In an email, South Dakota Republican Party executive director Tony Post called Scheveck’s complaint a “distraction.”
Yeah, but it's a "distraction" your party seems willing to continue to flirt with.
10 May - The United States Department of Justice sues Joe Arpaio and the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office over that agency's unwillingness to address the civil rights abuses that have occurred with the MCSO. This is the end result of an investigation that started under the GW Bush administration.
"The civil-rights probe began in the summer of 2008, Perez said, before he worked at the Justice Department and before Obama took office, and the matter could have been resolved much sooner had the Sheriff's Office refused to comply with the government's requests for records during the investigation. The sheriff's refusal resulted in the Justice Department filing a lawsuit in 2010, which was resolved the following year granting investigators access to the sheriff's records.
"This case could have been brought to resolution much sooner," Perez said. "Frankly, we were stonewalled."
The Sheriff's Office has tried to dispute findings that Justice Department investigators released in December, which accused the agency of widespread discrimination in patrol operations and the jails. Sheriff's officials have repeatedly insisted that the three-year federal investigation focused on isolated incidents involving a few deputies who were punished for their transgressions, and in some cases fired.
But the federal government's complaint makes clear that it was the responsibility of the Sheriff's Office to adequately train deputies involved in sensitive law-enforcement operations, including immigration enforcement, and the failure to do so demonstrates the agency's intent to discriminate against Latino residents."
10 May - Not surprisingly, Swiftboat liar and "Extra Special Deputy" Jerome Corsi defends his boy toy and puppet Arpaio.
"A defiant Sheriff Joe Arpaio is preparing to tell President Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder later today there is “no way” he will turn over the management of the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office to the Justice Department despite the threat of a federal lawsuit.
“Clean your own house, Eric Holder, before you come trying to clean mine,” Arpaio said today in a telephone interview with WND."
Oh, that's going to go over well with the courts.
"Arpaio has scheduled a press conference for 3 p.m. local time today at his office in downtown Phoenix.
The sheriff charged that the Obama administration is attacking him in an effort to gain Hispanic votes in November for the Democratic Party."
Wonder if Arpaio will confine his screaming to this claim, or if he'll go full metal birther again.
11 May - Meanwhile in Mississippi, Dr. Orly inflicts her latest steaming piles of taitz upon the court.
(Scribd link to motion to remand to state court here)
11 May - And so much for the South Dakota Birther Ballot Jihad
"The state Board of Elections declared on a 6-0 vote this morning that its members lack any jurisdiction to take up a complaint filed by a Rapid City man alleging that President Barack Obama isn’t a natural-born U.S. citizen, uses someone else’s Social Security number and posts a false birth certificate. The complaint by Thomas Scheveck was filed under the Help America Vote Act, but the federal law’s specific sections regarding election complaints don’t cover the types of allegations being made. State laws and regulations regarding elections in South Dakota also don’t cover those types of allegations regarding a presidential candidate. The teleconference meeting lasted 11 minutes."

Great report, Patrick. That was one hell of a week!

I thought the old hag's name was Tracy Fair, not Tracy Fine. She also has apparently been dumped by Mr. Fair, and prefers to go by her "maiden" name, Dorsey.

Or, as OCWeekly calls her, "Marge" from Orly's hair salon.

Thanks again for keeping us up to date with the crazies. Doesn't your head just hurt sometimes trying to read all this garbage? I can't believe they actually believe it.

Is WND moving into a Dr. Kate/Sharon Rondeau category of total fringe nuttiness or has it always been that far gone?

So ... anything more from Mr. Anonymous after Patrick skipped the "grand jury" meeting yesterday?
