5 June - Charles Dyer, aka "July4Patriot" is sentenced to 30 years in prison.
"Charles Dyer, a former Marine with ties to the antigovernment Oath Keepers, was sentenced to 30 years in prison Tuesday for raping his daughter when she was 6, the Stephens County District Attorney’s office in Oklahoma said.
The sentencing was the final chapter in a case that sparked national attention after Dyer failed to appear for trial last summer and soon afterward issued threatening, conspiracy-theorizing communiqués that left no room to doubt his intentions if police were to catch him."
As he has been found guilty by a jury of his peers, I can honestly say I hope he rots in prison and never sees the light of day.

"The Dove World Outreach Center in Gainesville, Fla., has hanged an effigy of President Barack Obama from a gallows on its front lawn, a move DWOC pastor Terry Jones said was in response to Obama's recent endorsement of same-sex marriage, as well as his stance on abortion and what Jones called his "appeasing of radical Islam."
According to the Broward-Palm Beach New Times, the U.S. Secret Service is currently investigating Jones in response to the display.
"The Secret Service is aware of this incident and will conduct appropriate follow-up," Secret Service spokesman Brian Leary told the paper's "The Pulp" blog.
The effigy is suspended from a makeshift gallows with a noose of yellow rope, has a doll in its right hand and a rainbow-colored gay pride flag in its left.

"I called Assistant Attorney General of AZ Michelle Forney. In her letter to judge Reid, presiding over my case in Indiana, Ms. Forney and her client, Secretary of State of Arizona Ken Bennett committed fraud.
In her letter to judge Reid MS. Forney admitted that the Superior Court of Indiana has a right to subpoena citizens of other states, however she claimed that her client, Secretary of State of AZ Bennett does not have any evidence of fraud committed by candidate Barack Obama and he does not have any evidence of forgery in Obama’s documents.
I called Ms. Forney and advised her that she and her client committed egregious fraud on the court and if she does not correct her fraudulent statement, I will be filing a bar complaint against her with AZ bar and seeking her disbarrment for egregious fraud. Additionally I will be filing a criminal complaint against her and her client, Secretary of State of AZ Bennett with AG of AZ and with public integrity unit of the Department of Justice, as well as reporting this to the oversight committee and judicial committee of the US House of Representatives.
I reminded her that Ken Bennett received results of Arpaio’s investigation, showing forgery in Obama’s birth certificate and selective service certificate. They defrauded judge Reid by claiming that Secretary of State Bennett does not have any such evidence. I gave her until Monday to correct the fraudulent statements in her letter and advised her that I expect Secretary of State of Arizona Bennett in court on Tuesday. I will pay for his travel if he cannot afford it."
Doesn't this, oh, I dunno, violate a whole bunch of professional ethics for an attorney to threaten someone like this unless they do what she demands???

"(A) A member shall not threaten to present criminal, administrative, or disciplinary charges to obtain an advantage in a civil dispute.(B) As used in paragraph (A) of this rule, the term "administrative charges" means the filing or lodging of a complaint with a federal, state, or local governmental entity which may order or recommend the loss or suspension of a license, or may impose or recommend the imposition of a fine, pecuniary sanction, or other sanction of a quasi-criminal nature but does not include filing charges with an administrative entity required by law as a condition precedent to maintaining a civil action."
A pity that the State Bar of California seems completely uninterested in enforcing their own code of conduct among it's members.
Oh, and notice she's offering to pay Bennett's way. She made the same offer to Joe Arpaio and Mike Zullo.

This is a bit of a diversion from the thread, but I ran across something just minutes ago, and "had" to share it !
It struck me some time ago there might be some sort of (gambling) casino link to the whole Birther phenomenon - judging by the number of original birthers who seemed to have something to do with that industry. (Even "America's New Sweetheart" went to Las Vegas on arrival in the USA - and- got married there.)
I still couldn't imagine what connection there could be-until today, when I read of a casino billionaire who has donated millions to Romney:
