11 July - Looks like the aptly named Gary Kreep may have won his judgeship (spit) with just a little help from his friends.
"Taxpayers for Safer Neighborhoods also broke the law: Robocalls are illegal in California unless they’re introduced by a real person. This one was not.
The call isn't one Kreep could have made himself, since the California Code of Judicial Ethics forbids judge candidates from making statements that misrepresent facts concerning their opponents. Instead, Kreep's friends said it for him.
The political action committee (PAC) did not return our messages. It lists one of its directors as lawyer James Lacy, a conservative activist and chairman of Western Conservative Political Action Conference. Kreep serves as WCPAC’s vice chair and counsel. TSN’s treasurer, Barrett Garcia, also has a history with Kreep. Garcia paid Kreep almost $60,000 in 2010 for consulting on Lacy-linked slate mailers.
The PAC typically focuses on elections to the north, including the La Puente City Council and Orange County judicial races this cycle. In 2010, the committee spent money on races in San Juan Capistrano and Dana Point. Information regarding who funded the anti-Peed robocall won’t be available until early next month; the committee did not file the reports required by the state within 24 hours of a $1,000 independent expenditure."

I can think of very few things more destructive to military discipline and morale than to have any president pardon someone who publicly and deliberately disobeyed a lawful order given from his immediate chain of command.

The message that would send to the military would be horrible.
Besides which, I thought most birthers didn't think Obama was legitimately the President. If he could grant a pardon, then that would mean that *gasp!* he had the legitimacy to give the pardon in the first place!

As the saying goes, the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again in hopes of getting another result. In this case, Dr. Orly is using - AGAIN! - the exact same "evidence" and "experts" that past judges have dismissed or said were not credible.
So Dr. Orly must be absolutely stark raving froot loops stealth batshit squirrel turd crazy at this point.
What's even more entertaining is that she gets nine pages into her request before getting OFF of the subject of President Obama, and attacking her GOP challengers directly. Complete with a claim that the GOP nominee bought her win.

First off, Dr. Orly was one of two people in the Secretary of State primary, which was statewide. Emken ran for the 11th Congressional District primary, in a district that covers parts of five counties, and came in fourth out of five people. Furthermore, the GOP challenger that lost got 112,703 votes, and the Democrat that won got 115,361 (240,503 votes total). In other words, that district cast less votes for that race than Dr. Orly got for her statewide race.
She's not comparing apples and oranges here. She's comparing apples and rocks.
Second off, Dr. Orly has more name recognition. Which doesn't equal electability. Most of the people who know Dr. Orly immediately think of her as that deranged jackal who waves around piles of papers and sounds like she's looking for moose and squirrel.
She's a joke in the minds most of voters, and has become more so since then.

13 July - More DC cops may be involved.
"Sources told News4 on Friday that additional officers may be disciplined after a Metropolitan Police Department officer made "an alleged threat" against First Lady Michelle Obama.
The Secret Service confirmed the "alleged threat" to News4 on Thursday. However, officials don't believe it conveyed an actual intent to harm her.
The Secret Service said it's looking into the precise nature of the comment, which a supervisor overheard during a routine morning roll call Wednesday.
The officer under investigation works in the Special Operations division, which handles presidential and dignitary motorcades in the city.
