> We are challenging him "to meet with Sheriff Arpaio in the reasonably near future, review the evidence, and issue a statement regarding that evidence.

At least they don't require him to refute the "evidence" to qualify for the donation anymore.

Seems they believe that the propaganda value of Powell meeting Arpaio about the issue (and thus giving credence to his bullcrap) is high enough on its own, even if Powell were to issue a statement "I've looked at everything and it is nonsense" afterwards.

"Scott B MacKenzie is shown as having contributed $10,000 of his own money to "Conservative Strikeforce" (Huffington post here). He's also shown as the treasurer for the "Sam vs The Machine" SuperPAC (Zimbo here) And he's also identified as having campaign treasurer for the presidential campaign of Pat Buchanan, and later the treasurer for Freedom’s Defense Fund, which launched a series of anti-Obama campaign ads in 2008."

And if he's the same Scott MacKenzie who sang that dreamy "(If You're Going To) San Francisco" song four decades ago...that's another strike against him.
Maybe someone could link him to that?

Patrick, have you seen any ACTUAL evidence that these latest Birther attack ads have been played anywhere on an actual TV channel, cable or otherwise?

A few Birthers have made the claim that Fox News Channel showed one of the ads...possibly twice.

However, outside of the Birther claims (and we know how well they tend to hold up), I haven't seen anywhere else report seeing these ads actually play on TV. Considering all the media watchdog sites out there, I would think this level of crap would get noticed, if it had actually aired anywhere beyond the internet...

G - The first time I saw that video, it was a homemade one that looked like it had been recorded by a camera pointed to a TV.

In addition to that, an old friend said she saw it during an episode of "ID-Investigation:Discovery"

So there seems to be some evidence that it's had at least some release

G

Thanks Patrick for the response. I guess it hasn't made enough of a TV splash for many people to even notice...at least so far.

GMpilot, the musician Scott McKenzie (not MacKenzie) was born Philip Blondheim, so I doubt he ever used a middle initial.

" but being persons of moral character, and dedicated to duty, the military will be able to contain the problems,"

Actually I think the military will be able to contain any temptation to fulfill this guy's wet dream.
