Dispatches From Birtherstan - 7-11 July 2012

In today's dispatches, we have a LOT of birther recycling going on. Jerome Corsi rehashes Dr. Orly's National Student Clearinghouse bit AND the INS records thing, trying to spin both about 180 from reality. The Western Center for "Journalism" rehashes the "Oh Noes, the ebil Obambi's hippotizing us!!" thing from fall of 2008.

In the meantime, Professional Seditionist Sharon Rondeau is making sure no forged envelopes escape her notice, while she also seems to have followed Carl Swensson's pidgeon-steps. The inmates at Birther Report continue to abandon all pretense of being anything other than a pack of racist hate-minded seditionists. Dr. Orly overlooks something. Larry Klayman and Van Irion both lose cases. Larry Klayman continues to tout the Return of the Fantasy Tiddlywinks League, while a couple of familiar idiots come up with a whole new way of acting like twitwaffles.

Joseph Farah continues down paranoia parkway, while investigators in Phoenix may have found some ties between World Nut Daily and Ken Bennett. The Birther Scorecard is updated, and the birthers record is intact at zero wins. Dr. Kate tries to find some religious justification for her hatred. Both Canada Free Press and Lawrence Sellin try and stir up rebellion from abroad. Lame Cherry is nutter than a forest full of squirrel turds. Rudy Davis seduces Terry Lakin…or at least his book.

And finally, I suspect that the only thing James Manning hates more than President Obama is the color of James Manning's skin.

6 July - Professional seditionist Sharon Rondeau wants to make sure the State of Hawaii didn't forge any stamps or anything…

She starts off by harassing the Arizona Secretary of State's office:

7 July - How very interesting. Professional seditionist Sharon Rondeau admits she got a visit from the FBI in regards to that stolen grand jury list that Walter Fitzpatrick sent her.

"Rush then expressed his displeasure at “extensive communication back and forth” between Fitzpatrick and The Post and Email. He did not cite the website’s name, but rather, this writer specifically

Rush said Fitzpatrick “stole” the documents and sent them to a website belonging to “Sharon Rondeau,” who “posts his [Fitzpatrick's] unique theories” about government corruption at “her website.”

"Blog" would be more accurate.

"This third party, one Sharon Rondeau, is the same party who “publishes” the defendant’s continuous rantings and diatribes on her website, which is exceedingly generously self-described therein as an “electronic newspaper” and a “new media initiative of American patriots.” She is also the party to whom the Defendant sent the purloined court documents in Connecticut and from whom they were recovered by the FBI. "

So Sharon Rondeau admitted that Walter Fitzpatrick sent her the documents. (Hey, aren't there laws about receiving stolen property???) Which pretty much admits that Fitzpatrick stole them in the first place.

Ooopsie.

"She is responsible for the reprehensible public display of these records on her website, thereby betraying any lie of claims to be an actual “journalist” with any ethics or integrity."

Which is simply the facts. Sharon Rondeau has never been an actual journalist, and has never shown even the slightest amount of ethics or integrity.

"She admitted in her statement to the FBI that these records did come from the Defendant himself."

Poor Fitzpatrick. First Carl Swensson blabs to the FBI and throws Fitzpatrick and Huff under the bus, then Sharon Rondeau does the same.

"In contradiction to Rush’s assertion, the documents taken from the Monroe County courthouse, which is holding county criminal grand juries and trials in violation of current Tennessee state law, were not “seized” by the FBI at the office of The Post and Email. On February 7, 2012, a state trooper and FBI agent came and courteously asked to retrieve them if they were still in our possession, in addition to which we provided proof of having contacted the FBI and TBI about them on two separate occasions. Contrary to Rush’s statement that Sharon Rondeau made an “admission” “to the FBI,” our statement was requested and taken by the state trooper while the FBI agent stood by, looking on silently with his arms crossed."

Which sounds pretty much like an admission to me.

"How would Paul Rush have known what happened that day? His assertion in court that the documents were “seized” is completely false. Moreover, why did no one from Monroe County simply ask for the return of the documents after seeing them in redacted form at The Post and Email?"

Maybe because the retrieval of stolen property is a matter for law enforcement??

8 July - Swiftboat liar Jerome Corsi actually proves Dr. Orly wrong. Remember her "National Student Clearinghouse" claim that Obama didn't attend Columbia??

Well, it seems that "National Student Clearinghouse" got permission to share their records from Columbia University. Which confirms that he did attend that school.

Of course, since it's Jerome Corsi, there has to be some deep dark conspiracy.

"Two separate database reports from the National Student Clearinghouse have contradicted President Obama’s claim he attended Columbia University for two years."

"Swirling amid the black hole of information are a host of theories about Obama’s whereabouts – particularly during the 1981-1982 school year – including speculation he was working for the CIA in Pakistan.

Now, the clearinghouse, with permission from Columbia, has decided to make an exception to its media policy and address WND’s inquiry into the discrepancy. Why do clearinghouse records indicate Obama was at the school only during the 1982-83 school year while Obama and Columbia’s spokesman have insisted he began attending the New York City school in the fall of 1981?

Janine Greenwood, vice president and general counsel for the clearinghouse, told WND there was a “computer error” in their system that has been corrected. She said she confirmed with Columbia that Obama was at the university for two academic years, not one."

So NSC contacted Columbia, Columbia confirmed that NSC had incorrect data, and NSC corrected their database.

Which, of course, is proof of……..database mistakes.

"Greenwood said she “tried to untangle this” discrepancy one year ago after two “DegreeVerify certificates” from the Herndon, Va.-based clearinghouse –obtained through a fee-based request – indicated Obama attended Columbia College at Columbia University only in the 1982-1983 academic year, from Sept. 1, 1982 until May 31, 1983, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree May 17, 1983.

“All I know is [the record] was right originally, and somewhere along the line it went off the rails, and then it was right again,” she said.

“We basically had two records running simultaneously, and it just depended on how you input the name and the other information as to which records you got,” she explained to WND in an interview Friday.

Greenwood confirmed a disclaimer on the clearinghouse website stating the organization relies on the accuracy of the information supplied by each educational institution and cannot edit, modify or delete any student degree or enrollment data."

So far all the information is actually disproving Corsi's claim in the first paragraph.

Funny thing that. Especially since he buries that part of it several paragraphs in, almost as if he's just expecting people to read the first couple of lines….

"The two separate reports indicating Obama attended Columbia for only one year were generated in March 2011. One, obtained by lawyer Orly Taitz, was used in a court filing contesting Obama’s eligibility. The other found its way to Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s Cold Case Posse investigating Obama’s eligibility for the presidential ballot in Arizona.

Greenwood said at least one of the two people who submitted the request for a report of Obama’s record received a correct report as well as an incorrect one. She added that the people who obtained the records probably violated the clearinghouse’s terms of use, because acquisition of records is limited to degree confirmation for the purposes of employment and education."

1) Interesting. So both Dr. Orly AND the Maricopa CCCP incorrectly used that information in violation of the terms of use that they would have had to agree to because getting those reports.

2) And just how did a copy "find its way" to Arpaio and the Maricopa CCCP??

Some I suspect Corsi's puffy purple hands were all over it….

"She said she contacted the Columbia registrar’s office last year to clear up the discrepancy.

“We have confirmed with Columbia that the two years was the correct record,” she said."

Sounds like they did the right thing to maintain the accuracy of their database then.

"In the Thursday interview, Hornsby said regarding the clearinghouse’s information: “I don’t know what they’re basing their information on or what their system is for logging, but I can confirm, as a matter of fact, that President Obama was here in September 1981 as a transfer student from Occidental.”

Asked whether he had personally seen a transcript that would verify Obama attended classes during the 1981-82 school year, Hornsby said, “You’re looking for proof I cannot provide.”

He noted academic records are protected by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974, “and we don’t talk about any student’s academic records, presidents or otherwise.”

Ah, those pesky privacy laws again.

"Two weeks ago, WND submitted two paid inquiries – one with the name Barry Soetoro and the other with Barack Hussein Obama – to the National Student Clearinghouse to confirm the previous reports. The clearinghouse acknowledged receipt of the inquiries but gave no further information."

And wouldn't THAT be a violation of NSC's terms of use as well??

9 July - The Southern Poverty Law Center takes note of Joseph Farah's increasing paranoia.

If the "Anonymous" who wrote the WCJ articles isn't the original author (The PDF only says "Daniel"), then they're plagiarizing.

10 July - So what is Larry Klayman's solution to losing Yet Another Case?? Demand the judge recuse herself for being a big ol' mean poopiehead.

"In the notice filed on Monday, Dean’s lawyer, Larry Klayman — founder of Freedom Watch — claims that Zeldon showed bias and favoritism toward the defendants in the case. Klayman alleges that Zeldon made “snide and offensive comments” against him after he was unable to travel from Los Angeles to Washington, D.C. to appear in court. “Judge Zeldon mocked and ridiculed Plaintiffs and their counsel while, to the contrary, Judge Zeldon referred to Defendants’ counsel approvingly as ‘distinguished,’ stating in effect that Plaintiffs and their counsel are not.”

Dean, in the notice, goes so far as to say Judge Zeldon’s “bias” is evident in her “acting like a ‘woman scorned.’”

“This case will be tried in federal court, and Maddow and MSNBC will be held responsible for their hateful and malicious reporting,” Dean concludes in his statement."

1) The judge dismissed the case and ruled that Dean and Klayman should pay attorney costs.
2) That the defendants refused to allow their earlier recusal request.
3) Klayman is upset that the judge didn't call him "distinguished" too.

10 July - Rudy Davies reviews Terry Lakin's book and all but dry-humps Lakin's leg.

Rudy is wrong. Since Lakin was dismissed from service, he's no longer "Lt. Col. Lakin". He lost the right to be called by his rank when he was dismissed.

Also, a while back, Rudy got kicked out of a Sarah Palin rally for being an asshat birther. And he seems to have been on the "jury" of James Manning's play trial a while back.

11 July - Swiftboat liar Jerome Corsi joins the crowd recycling old birther lies. This time it's the INS reports on Barack Obama, Sr.

Note that last line.

Here's a shock to Corsi. The INS does this all the time when a US citizen is married to a foreign national. It's part of their job.

*Whether he sought out guidance from the attorney general or solicitor general on the issue, being that he was a campaign chair for Obama's opponent, Mitt Romney
*And specifically, whether he sought guidance from the above legal experts on whether it was appropriate or legal for him to direct staff to use official state resources to investigate the president's birth certificate, again, given the fact that Bennett was/is on the Romney campaign team
*Has Mr. Bennett been informed by any investigating agency that his actions in the above-mentioned situation are under investigation or review?"

I'm going to hazard a guess and say the answers are yes, yes, yes, no, no, and no.

A warning though

Of course, Manning is an expert when it comes to evaluating petty thieves and grifters in expensive suits who award themselves phony degrees. He, apparently, has learned the techniques, argot, and basic rhetorical devices of a television preacher, but his basic character of an amoral predator is not camouflaged.

Here he exposes himself, not only as a simpering toady to (as Anne Coulter put it) "the last three klanners in America," but also as just plain ignorant and uneducated. The ridiculous assertion that Africans never built a stone building or a seaworthy vessel or built a civilization demeans his phony doctorate, since I, a dumbass HS dropout, has more knowledge than that.

I would recommend that the "Doctor" spend a few hours watching the excellent BBC4 series, The Lost Kingdoms Of Africa. Also, if it's not to tedious, to read (real) Dr. Ivan Van Sertima's They Came Before Columbus.

It's difficult for me to tell if Manning is really "self-hating," or just a suckass that will do anything--no matter how demeaning--to garner a buck. He may be able to buy his suits from Barneys now, but he is still the social and economic parasite that he was when he was a customer of Ben's On 125th.
