In today's dispatches, more "Ulsterman" fiction. Some observation of Rep. Steven King's issues. The Conservative Majority Fund and their lying ad are getting some notice in the MSN.
Someone else either has some massive issues, or is hung like a vienna sausage. And we have another burned out birther rock star.
2 August - Oh look. More fiction from "Ulsterman". You know someone's bad when even Free Republic won't accept them as a source.

"So he goes through the records, documents the newspaper announcements of President Obama's birth in Hawaii, and continues to push the birther case.
This maker of laws continues to maintain that the President of the United States wasn't born in the United States, that somehow a white woman from Kansas married a guy from Kenya, then went over with him to Kenya to have the baby they named "Barack Hussein Obama" with the purpose of having the kid grow up to be our American president. She did all this with the cooperation of the Immigration Service who were in on the plan, again, to make this about-to-be infant the President of the United States a half century later.
Any sane person would ask the question: if this woman from Kansas had this idea to have her son elected president, would she (a) marry a guy from East Africa; (b) schedule the delivery of their baby in East Africa; © take the boy with her to Indonesia for several years, and (d) create a false paper trail, including newspaper announcements, that placed the child's birth in a state far from the North American mainland?
The King of the Crazies has an interesting way of thinking. He asks why anyone would want to outlaw dog fighting or cock fighting or anything like it when we allow humans to fight. Is there a trick in that question? Obviously, people who fight decide to fight. Animals are thrown in an arena — perhaps in someone's garage — and prodded into fighting. Is that difference too cool for school?
Mr. King has voted against a number of measures to ban animal fighting. What bothers him is that we protect animals but not humans. He says a sexual predator can impregnate a 13 year-old (which he says happens more times than you or I would know), haul her across the state line, and force her to get an abortion, then bring her back and drop her off at the playground where he found her.
All this, he suggests, can be done quite legally while we're suppressing the urge to have animals duke it out.
"What kind of a country is it?" he implores us.
Well, Mr. King of the Crazies, it's not here. The only thing both weird, and real, in these stories of yours is the real-life U.S. congressman out there telling them."

3 August - Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-Ill) suggests that Puerto Rico may want to find advisors other than Heidi Wys.
"Wys has tweeted separate messages questioning the real location of the president’s birth. Wys, who is white, has described herself on Twitter as someone of German origins who deeply dislikes Obama and wants to see him defeated. In subsequent tweets she has described herself as someone who is not a racist and whose favorite nieces are black.
Wys' most recent message has been described as a racist embarrassment by multiple Puerto Rican lawmakers living on the island. Several have called for Wys to resign. However, González has declined to answer direct questions about the matter.
On Wednesday, González's spokeswoman, Marieli Padro, declined to answer questions about whether Wys would remain in her job. New York City Councilwoman Melissa Mark-Viverito, who was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, also called for González to fire Wys this week.
But Gutierrez, a Democrat who hails from a Chicago-area Puerto Rican family, is the first member of the U.S. Congress to wade into the controversy. On Thursday, Gutierrez sent a letter to Gonzalez in Spanish calling for Wys' "immediate dismissal." González is a Republican."
3 August - Think Progress reports on the Conservative Majority Fund ad:
"As the ad’s announcer reads his script, a chryon runs at the bottom asking questions such as “What is [Obama's] connection to Bill Ayers?” “What is his current relationship with Rev. Wright?” and “Who paid for his Harvard Education?” The Conservative Majority fund’s website also appears entirely devoted to promoting far right myths, including a campaign to keep the United Nations from seizing people’s guns, an attack on the Obama Administration’s supposed “deep and dirty involvement in the the Fast & Furious gun-running scandal,” and multiple pages devoted to fighting the nearly non-existent problem of voter fraud. Their birther petition calling for Congress to “investigate Barack Obama’s forged birth certificate” prominently features anti-immigrant Sheriff Joe Arpaio.
The Conservative Majority Fund only filed its initial papers with the Federal Elections Commission a month ago, and has not yet disclosed the extent of its spending on this ad. Their spending is significant enough, however, that the ad ran simultaneously on both CNN and Fox News this morning, and it is twice the length of a normal campaign ad."

4 August - The LA Times reports on the Conservative Majority Fund and their amazing fact-free ad.

The Conservative Majority Fund, set up a month ago by a political consultant, is sponsoring television ads that recycle some discredited conspiracy theories regarding Obama’s identity -- including suggestions that he’s using a phony Social Security number and a fake birth certificate."
They also have some money:
"The group’s website, which “demands Congress investigate Barack Obama’s forged birth certificate,” suggests donations from $25 to $2,500. The article mentions some of connections that Scott MacKenzie has:
"The Conservative Majority Fund treasurer is Scott B. MacKenzie, a consultant with an address in an Arlington, Va., office building. MacKenzie is also treasurer of another PAC, Freedom’s Defense Fund, that in 2010 raised and spent nearly $3 million to help elect Republican candidates -- most of it from relatively small donors, reports show. More than $1.2 million of that group’s spending went to firms affiliated with Base Connect, a Washington political consulting outfit that lists MacKenzie as a “strategic partner.”
