7 October - Failed US Senatorial candidate Joe Miller of Alaska reports on a new birther lawsuit in that state, Lamb v Romney/Obama.
"The suit stems from a request submitted to both candidates for the information in question. To date, there is evidence that both campaigns received the records requests, but neither has been forthcoming with information.
The impetus behind the inquiry? Among other things, Lamb cites suggestions from Democrat US Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid that Romney “manipulated” his tax returns, and the allegation that Barack Obama may have committed fraud by accessing financial assistance, purportedly as a foreign student. Sources for the claim against Obama include US and Indonesian law, the president’s own writings, and sworn affidavits.
If Lamb’s material claims are substantiated, it appears the president may have fraudulently received student aid from the federal government by making false claims about his legal status.
It is unlikely the case will get traction. But if it does, it is sure to draw national attention."

10 October - World Nut Daily touts a Conan O'Brian sketch with Big Bird asking for Obama's birth certificate. From 2009.

It ranks up there with the birth certificate "experts" - a batch of poor resolution images, along with creative use of photoshop enhancement and an overlay to try and highlight the pattern the author claims is there.
11 October - World Nut Daily really seems to be in "throw everything against the wall and hope it sticks" mode. The latest is by long-time birther Paul Vallely, claiming that oh no, President Obama didn't really give the order to kill Osama Bin Laden, but the military overruled him.
"The Stand Up America research team has learned from a senior and sensitive intelligence community source and official that President Obama did not know of the raid in Abbottabad to kill Osama bin Laden on May 1, 2011, until after the helicopters with SEAL Team Six had crossed into Pakistani airspace.

The president was notified at the golf course and called away, which is why he was in the strange seated position in the picture that documented the White House operation room event.
Director of Central Intelligence Leon Panetta was the key player who organized and supported this daring raid. He signed the “execute orders” with only a few people aware: Secretary of State Hilary Clinton, Secretary of Defense William Gates, Adm. Bill Mullen and Gen. David Petraeus.

If this sounds just a tad bit familiar, it should. Because the "Stand Up America" discovery that Vallely is touting is identical to the claims of a de facto military coup against President Obama that "Ulsterman" made on 2 May 2011 and expanded upon on 3 May 2011

11 October - A World Nut Daily follow up to Paul Vallely's recycling of old "Ulsterman" claims.
