In today's dispatches, the Mississippi Bar Assoication makes a decision about one of Dr. Orly's complaints. Barry Ragsdale wants another chance to swat some birther. Jerome Corsi makes new claims (pulled out of his nether region), even though his street cred with his fellow birtherstan is beginning to fall.

Unlicensed Pastoral "Therapist" and thin-skinned harasser Sammie Sewell loves him some Mark McGrew. The Mississippi Democratic Party responds to Dr. Orly. George Miller takes on the birtherstani role of "Bagdad Bob". Some rather charming floatum at Dr. Orly's. And we find some more about the people behind Joel Gilbert's liefest.

But the big story is Donald Trump and his "October Surprise". Which, as it turns out, is less of a surprise and more of a "who cares?" Despite pre-"bombshell" pimping from World Nut Daily and various birtherstani.

Some how, his pious claims of "threats, insults and profanity", "bottom feeder tactics", and "thuggish behavior" fails to impress me. Except maybe to show just what a flaming hypocrite he is.

22 October - The Mississippi Secretary of State files a Motion in Support of Judgment on the Pleadings.

"Plaintiff Taitz has since attempted to comply with the Court’s orders by filing some documents on October 15, 2012.1 Taitz’s papers lack a coherent explanation regarding Plaintiffs’ putative RICO claim and contain no valid response to the Secretary of State’s dispositive motion. The Secretary of State’s Motion for Judgment on the Pleadings should now be granted, and the claims against him dismissed with prejudice."

I'm going to assume they're not impressed with the legal prowess of the Nitrous Queen.

"Nevertheless, assuming Plaintiff Taitz properly filed her challenge on April 1, it had to be followed by filing a petition in Circuit Court no later than April 15, 2012. See MISS. CODE ANN. § 23-15-963(4) (Circuit Court petition must be filed within fifteen days regardless of action or inaction on petition to committee). Plaintiff Taitz’s Amended Complaint – i.e. Taitz’s petition to Circuit Court under Section 23-15-963(4) – was filed on April 19, 2012.3 Plaintiff Taitz’s general election challenge petition was filed at least four days too late. Thus, no court has jurisdiction to adjudicate it.4

Furthermore, the Amended Complaint was not accompanied by the requisite $300 bond. See MISS. CODE ANN. § 23-15-963(4). Plaintiff Taitz claims that bond was not paid because a bond had previously been paid for her primary election challenge. The two bond requirements are separate requirements, contained in separate statutes. See MISS. CODE ANN. §§ 23-15-961, -963. Failure to pay the bond is fatal to the general election claim, and Plaintiff Taitz’s excuse that she will pay another bond now does not save it.5 For either reason, untimeliness or failure to include the requisite bond, the general election challenge must be dismissed."

Dr. Orly - "Deadlines? What is this deadlines you are to be babbling about?? Don't you know that there's a SCARY BLACK MAN IN THE WHITE HOUSE?? SCREECH!!!!"

"Plaintiff Taitz’s response does not articulate why this long settled rule of law does not apply in this case. Gore, 531 U.S. 98 (2000).6 Her apparent contention is that Secretaries of State have generally been ordered to do things by courts in the past, so this Court can order him to do something in this case. 23 October - World Nut Daily plays 20 questions about the so-called "bombshell" that Tribble Mobility Scooter Donald Trump is supposed to release on Wednesday, 24 October.

"A top aide to Donald Trump says the billionaire will reveal a secret about Barack Obama on Wednesday – probably on Twitter – that could of interest to “millions of Americans.”

The confirmation came today to WND from Mike Cohen, Trump’s assistant, who confirmed that only three people know what Trump will reveal: Trump, his wife, and himself.

But he also confirmed that the revelation “has nothing to do with drug usage,” in contradiction to several published reports today that said it involved claims Obama dealt drugs during college."

Cohen said the announcement is planned to be made on Twitter tomorrow, and Trump himself sent the tweet, “Everybody is asking about my announcement this Wednesday concerning Barack Obama – just wait and see!”

So let's see:

Soon afterwards, Romney surrogate Donald Trump (who has worked with Corsi and World Nut Daily) make an "October Surprise" claim

"While Taitz attaches an exhibit that purports to be a copy of the Federal Express air bill #8769 2956 3811, hand dated “02092012”to support her claim of a February 9 mail date, the package, which was marked “priority overnight,”was not received by the court until February 14. Compare ECF 50 at 12 with State Court Docket [ECF6 at 3]. Further, Federal Express tracking system indicates that that the package at issue (air bill #8769 2956 3811)was not shipped until February 13, 2012. See Exhibit B. Thus, Taitz’s own exhibits, the information referenced therein, and the state court record directly contradict her claim that she mailed the petition on February 9"

What a surprise, Dr. Orly lied. Again.

"Taitz’s argument that mootness should not apply because the “delay was not caused by the Plaintiffs but by the[p]residing judge in the Circuit court, Judge Coleman” is disingenuous given that she failed even to obtain valid summonses until March 15, after the primary had taken place."

If Dr. Orly's dental skills are on par with her legal skills, it's amazing she hasn't accidentally given somebody a vasectomy during a root canal.

24 October - So what was the Tribble Mobility Scooter's "October Surprise"? Trump channeling his inner Dean Haskins and offering $5 million to charity if President Obama releases his college and passport applications.

No, seriously.

The thing with Trump's little challenge is this - the records have to be to TRUMP's satisfaction. There's nothing President Obama can release that would make Trump happy.

We saw this in 2011. For three years the litany was "why hasn't Obama released his long form birth certificate". President Obama did. Within hours there were people claiming it was a forgery. Nothing President Obama releases will make any of these people happy.

I've said in the past that the whole college records thing is basically birtherism light. They're trying to show that either a) President Obama got financial aid as a foreign student, or b) that his grades weren't good enough to get into Columbia and Harvard and therefore he was an "affirmative action" student.

Basically it's a modern version of "you better show us your papers, BOY!"

24 October - The Onion gives their own satire spin on Trump.

"In a blockbuster announcement today, Donald Trump announced that he is a very sad man who has nothing to live for other than drawing attention to himself. "I'm a sad, pathetic human being and a complete waste of life," said Trump, adding that he lives an empty existence, and that he is nothing more than a corporate shill, as well as a failed husband, father, and human being. 24 October - Politico reports on Trump's "October Surprise".

"White House senior advisor David Plouffe said in response, “Direct those questions to Boston because Donald Trump is Mitt Romney’s biggest supporter, so he owns everything he says.”

"Without any evidence, conservatives have attacked the president’s time at Columbia University for years, alleging there must something suspicious in his college records."

As I said before, "show us your papers, boy!"

24 October - The Huffington Post reports on Jerome Corsi's fading credibility, and debunking Joel Gilbert's liefest.

"Corsi went on to note that "Dreams from My Real Father producer Joel Gilbert, an Arabic speaker and an expert on the Middle East, was the first to conclude that Obama's ring, reportedly from Indonesia, bore an Islamic inscription."

Corsi's boss, WND editor Joseph Farah, was eager to promote this story, wondering in an Oct. 10 column why nobody else was covering Corsi's big scoop. The story is "off the charts in terms of readership," according to Farah, but "the self-appointed information cops" won't touch it. He then declared: "I don't know about you, but I think this is an important story -- maybe one of the biggest of the presidential election year. That it had to wait so long to be told reflects the inherent mystery still surrounding the man in the White House and a hapless press just too afraid to go certain places in the pursuit of the truth."

Farah has inadvertently hit upon the problem with Corsi's story -- it's not true. And the people who debunked it were the last people one would expect to contradict anything Corsi or WND reports: birthers."

Oh dear.

"That prompted Corsi to pen a follow-up article responding to the Birther Report's then-unnamed expert, in which Gilbert insisted that he "made no alteration whatsoever" to the pattern on the ring. Corsi made no mention of the high-resolution image, but he noted that his original article "was picked up today by the Saudi-owned paper Al-Arabiya."

In response, the Birther Report unveiled its "computer software and graphics expert" -- it's none other than Mara Zebest, a birther who made a supporting appearance alongside Corsi last year at WND's press conference announcing its defamation lawsuit against Esquire magazine (which was recently booted out of court). Corsi touted Zebest in a 2011 WND article as "a nationally recognized computer expert who has served as contributing author and technical editor for more than 100 books on Adobe and Microsoft software.""

How very, very awkward.

"Richard Bartholomew noted that anti-Muslim activist Pam Geller, who initially blogged in support of Corsi's article, apparently deleted that post without explanation."

Which, considering she still touts "TechDude", says something right there.

"Corsi has not written a thing about the ring story since Zebest was revealed as his critic."

But I bet she's off his holiday card list.

"But blogger Loren Collins has utterly demolished Gilbert's claims in a seven-part series demonstrating Gilbert's falsehoods and history of mendacity. Perhaps most importantly, Collins shot down the claim that Ann Dunham posed for Davis by proving that photos that Gilbert claims are of Dunham were actually published in an erotica magazine when Dunham was 15 years old -- years before she and her family moved to Hawaii -- and are of a woman considerably older than 15.

Collins also made a videotaped debunking of the photo claim. Collins explains that Gilbert apparently tried to suppress the video by filing a frivolous copyright claim against it that temporarily removed it from YouTube (despite Collins' usage of a clip from an ad for Gilbert's film -- not from the film itself -- clearly falling under fair use). Collins removed the offending section and re-posted the video.

So Gilbert clearly knows about Collins' work to the extent that he tried to keep others from seeing it. But so far, Gilbert has not responded publicly to it. And you know what that means -- Corsi and WND will ignore it as well."

Yeah, it's funny how Farah and Corsi seem to have a deep-seated pathological hatred of things like "facts" or "the truth".

"In 2008, Corsi traveled to Kenya in search of something to smear Obama with. All he brought back were documents purporting to link Obama to Kenyan leader Raila Odinga that were clearly fraudulent. He's still at it, but he's no more truthful now than he was then -- and even the birthers are catching on."

It's actually impressive. Some of the birtherstani actually have started to think that maybe, just maybe, not every lie about President Obama is believable.

24 October - So here's what I would like to see:

Trump has again secured a victory for "Obama".

One of the following will happen:

(1) "Obama" does nothing, the media paint Trump as idiot Romney campaign member and "Obama" gets more votes.

(2) "Obama" releases the (forged?) records and appears as the guy who pranked the prankster. If Trump then yells "forgery", it will only enforce those who think our movement consists of idiots anyway.

(3) "Obama" donates $5 million to charity and asks Trump why he doesn't do the same but hides behind silly demands.

24 October - So while we still don't know who Joel Gilbert's sugar daddy is, we do know who did the focus group testing for the film and found said sugar daddy.

Namely Fox News pollster and GOP dirty trickster Frank Luntz.

"Luntz won’t say who commissioned his anti-Obama focus group, and he reportedly counseled his client to go with a milder anti-Obama film by conservative Stephen K. Bannon. That’s showing up on cable television stations in swing states soon. Another film screened was Dinesh D’Souza’s fantasy “Obama: 2016,” which Luntz said didn’t test well with voters.

But the lurid anti-Obama film is showing up in mailboxes in Ohio and Florida. It purports that Obama’s real father is the leftist Frank Marshall Davis, and it claims to have found photos of Ann Dunham in bondage magazines. It’s the creation of Joel Gilbert, reports Jeremy Peters in the New York Times, a conservative who has claimed he found Elvis Presley alive in a witness protection program and that Paul McCartney is actually dead. Gilbert wouldn’t disclose the donors behind his film and its distribution though he claimed he was sending out 4 million copies. He taunted Peters for being part of a mainstream media that hasn’t adequately vetted Obama, saying, “I hope you’re not angry or jealous that I beat you to it and might win the Pulitzer Prize.”

Gilbert is such a modest class act.

"Luntz claimed his client had doubts about the political wisdom of backing the Gilbert film, and that their approach to Luntz’s work was, “I want to know if it’s as bad as I think it is.” Still, the idea that the Fox News consultant is part of testing the most lurid anti-Obama messages in a season full of them is kind of appalling. But it shouldn’t be surprising."

These people waiting breathlessly for Trump's big announcement take me back to the days when they were waiting breathlessly for the "whitey tape" to be released by API. The same people have waited breathlessly for every big "revelation" by one charlatan after another, right up to Sheriff Joe's big announcements and now this dump from Trump.

Supposedly the definition of insanity is to do the same thing over and over and expect to see a different result. I think that's the definition of being a sucker.

By the way, Patrick, did you hear the President's joke about Trump? When Jay Leno asked him last night what was Trump's problem, the President said:

"This all dates back to when we were growing up together in Kenya. We had constant run-ins on the soccer field."

I know I commented earlier that the President should ignore Trump completely, but this is better. The best approach to these people is the one that you and Obama both take: to laugh in their faces.
