In today's dispatches, we have James Manning's vacation plans. We may have a new birther media star. Dr. Orly fails to learn from her mistakes. Or anything else. Rudy loves loves LOVES him a video of white women protesting "white genocide".

More about the "how DARE anyone speak ill of Saint Arpaio, blessed is his holy name!" crowd. The State of Washington tells the court exactly why and how Linda Jordan raked up almost $13,000 in costs. More racism, paranoia, conspiracy goodness, and calls for revolt from Birther Report. Convicted felon Lucas Smith takes to harassing debunkers. Some gun fetish types warn of an army of dusky hue.

A female conspiracy nut tells Rudy Davis off, and Rudy gets his klan robes in a knot as a result. We have a new conspiracy involving "fake marines", "fake guns" and I suspect a large quality of "real crystal meth". Professional seditionist Sharon Rondeau is upset that the FBI hasn't gotten rid of the scary black guy yet.

Dr. Orly wants foreign help in her jihad against the President.. We have the 2013 birther bill, with no changes in body design or style from the 2011 or 2012 models. What we do have is a lot of birther HATE for said bill though. Dr. Orly is outraged that the Oscars included a scary black woman, while filing in Mississippi another Vogon Legal Brief. And last but not least, a call for a mass citizens arrest of the entire US government. Have fun storming the castle kids.

15 February - James Manning decides he needs his own Vacation baby! Vacation!! Mai-Tais and Grass Skirts for DAYS research mission to Hawaii.

The official excuse is that he's going to petition the courts in Hawaii about how they supposedly "handled" President Obama's birth certificate and COLB. Which means he's going to be another birther PITA who needs to have the "Full Faith and Credit" cause of the Constitution explained to him via a 2-inch piece of drainpipe shoved into his ear.

He's also planning to sue the NAACP in Hawaii for supporting "forgery and criminal activity." Yeah, let us know how that works out for you.

Oh, and he's now claiming there's a "spiritual sickness in America" and that President Obama is "the devil". For some strange reason, this requires James Manning to sip frou-frou drinks on a warm tropical beach while the members of his church shiver in a New York City winter. The sacrifices he makes for his faith….

Speaking of faith, he's now swearing before his God that he will NOT, repeat NOT, allow the history books to claim that Barack Obama was the "first black President". He shouldn't make oaths he can't keep. This leads to his waxing nostalgic for the days when he saw his pregnant mother picking cotton "up to her 9th month", his sharecropping tobacco, their "Jim Crow" housing, and when he drank from drinking fountains marked "colored only". When he went to black-only schools, lived in segregated housing, and watched the Ku Klux Klan ride though his town.

7:47: "There aint no way in hell I'm gonna let this lowlife piece of trash claim to be the first black president. I've suffered too long, I've paid too much of a price, I've given too much, I've seen too many other people suffer. For this piece of trash to walk in, and dumb black people and race-filled white people, hate-filled white people, protect this devil and allow him to garner off of all the years I've gone though and others have gone though. No, no no no no. The last ounce of strength I have and the last breath I have, Obama will NOT be historically known as the first black president, but will be known as the first criminal president. "

Sounds like Manning has some major issues with race again. Remember that he's got an extra hate for mixed-race people in general, and that feeds into his resentment that someone he sees as "half-white" or a "half-breed" is going to go down in history as the first African-American president.

Manning gets extra screechy around this point.

Yeah, sure you will.

I get the feeling that God's reaction is more "Manning who??"

18 February - The birthers may have another media star to follow in the path of "Pravda OnLine" and "World Nut Daily". Namely Tom Kocal, the publisher of the Prairie Advocate.

"Over the last few weeks, Kocal has been writing publisher notes questioning the validity of President Barack Obama's long-form birth certificate.

"The Obama birth certificate released by the White House, on [its] website, proved to be a doctored fake, and we can prove it, like thousands of other graphic artists, computer experts, grade school children, etc.," he wrote. "There is no opinion in this; it is fact."

Funny how if it's a "fact" not a single person with forensic document training has backed up the claims of the supposed "thousands" of birther "experts".

It's also funny how less than 20 "experts" has turned into "thousands".

"When I called Kocal, I half-expected him to accuse Obama of being a Kenyan socialist – or at least harshly denounce the president's policies. He did neither. Instead, he spoke about what he saw as the technical problems with Obama's long-form certificate.

Asked whether he believed Obama was born in the United States, he said he didn't know. He called for an investigation.

The Republican Party – certainly no fan of the president – says Obama was born in the United States. Why would the party maintain this if it was fiction?

"I don't have the answer to that," Kocal said."

Because there ISN'T an answer. While some in the GOP has played flirty games with birthers, not all of them have fallen down the conspiracy rabbit hole.

"The media, even Fox News, also say the evidence is on the president's side.

"All of the networks have pretty much given up discussing it," Kocal said."

Yes, because there's nothing to support these claims.

"In my interview with Kocal, he never criticized Obama's policies. He sounded reasonable.

Of course, reason is lacking in arguments that Obama may have been born on foreign soil. Two Hawaii newspapers published his 1961 local birth announcement – one of which listed that the information came from the Health Bureau. Was there a massive conspiracy from the beginning when no one had any idea he would become president?

Like any president, Obama has his share of enemies. They would have presented evidence of his foreign birth long ago – if they could. But they can't. Why? Because the truth is hard to disprove."

Yeah, funny thing that. The birthers can't seem to understand that the debunkers actually have facts and reason and reality on our side.

Here's the thing. I'm pretty much as caucasian as you can get (Irish/Scottish/Welsh/German). I somehow have managed to escape the "being forced to feel guilty about my race" thing that these women are talking about. Maybe because I basically have the attitude that I don't care about the color of someone's skin, I care about what kind of person they are. And there are jerks, idiots, and racists of all hues.

Sorry, I don't buy these women's arguments.

According to Stephen Lemons at New Times, who could not get into the shadow army enlistment meeting but apparently had a plant, only 30 or so "warriors" showed up. And they are worried."

20 February - The Washington State Attorney General's office responds to Linda Jordan's request to have her fees reduced or dismissed.

"This Court dismissed this appeal as frivolous and awarded a sanction in the amount of reasonable attorney fees in favor of Respondent, Secretary of State Sam Reed.! Order (Dec. 5, 2012). This Court further directed the clerk to determine the amount of fees. The Secretary filed a declaration detailing the claim for fees, totaling $12,675. Declaration of Jeffrey T. Even Detailing Request for Attorneys' Fees (Even Decl.). The clerk entered a ruling granting the Secretary's request in full. Clerk's Ruling Setting the Awards for Attorney Fees (Ruling) at 3.

Ms. Jordan moves to modify the clerk's ruling, asking for a reduced attorney fees award. The number of attorney hours for which the Secretary requested compensation was reasonable because the Secretary minimized the number of hours by successfully seeking early dismissal before filing briefs on the merits. Those hours were also reasonable in light of Ms. Jordan's actions that multiplied the scope of work necessary during the brief pendency of this appeal. The hourly rate accurately reflects the market value of counsel's time. The clerk should decline to adjust the awarded amount, and if presented with the issue, the Court should deny the motion to modify."

Agreed. Jordan was warned, she decided to go head with her frivolous lawsuit, and should have to bear the costs of her little delusional jihad.

"Ms. Jordan pursued this appeal despite being placed on notice by both the trial court and Respondent's counsel that there was no basis for doing so. The trial court found that Ms. Jordan "cannot have been unaware" of the numerous prior decisions rejecting challenges to the President's qualifications.(2) CP 13. Ms. Jordan additionally received warning from Respondent's counsel. Declaration of Even in Support of Motion for Attorney's Fees, Ex. A."

Oh, she knew alright. She knew. Just take a look at footnote 2:

Supp.2d 1363, 1382 (M.D. Ga. 2009) (imposing $20,000 sanction against attorney who had challenged deployment of an army officer to Iraq based on the notion that the qualifications of the commander-in-chiefs ere in doubt); Hollister v. National Democratic Party of the USA, 2012 WL 3683492, *1 (W.D. Tenn. 2012) (imposing sanctions based on contention that the President is not a natural-born citizen)."

So yes, Linda Jordan knew that every single birther case out there has failed, and STILL brought up not only the same old debunked lies, but also her illegally-gained claims as well. She has absolutely no excuse in this.

"Ms. Jordan not only decided to proceed in disregard of these warnings, but the record contradicts her assertion that "there is no claim she acted in bad faith or [with] malicious intent." Motion to Modify at 3. Ms. Jordan repeatedly lodged reckless allegations of "collusion" between the superior court judge and the Secretary's counsel. See Respondent's Motion for Attorney Fees at 6-9. Ms. Jordan did so despite possessing information demonstrating her conspiratorial allegations to be unfounded. Id. at 8-9; see also Respondent's Reply in Support of Motion for Attorney's Fees at 3-5."

I think Jordan figured that since most birther cases are simply dismissed, there would be no harm or foul in following that playbook as well.

Ooops.

"Ms. Jordan continued to assert frivolous claims even when no reasonable person could believe them to be meritorious."

But we're not talking a reasonable person, we're talking about a birther.

"Ms. Jordan argues, in essence, that the frivolous nature of her appeal was so obvious that the Secretary should have secured its dismissal "within two hours, with time to spare." Motion to Modify at 6-7. But just because claims are frivolous "it does not follow that such claims are simply and quickly disposed of." Reid v. Dalton, 124 Wn. App. 113, 127, 100 P.3d 349 (2004). And Ms. Jordan's argument leads to the absurd result that the more clearly frivolous a case is, the lower the sanction for pursuing it. Moreover, Ms. Jordan's argument ignores the fact that the Secretary minimized the amount of attorney fees incurred by promptly seeking dismissal of this appeal, and that her own filings increased the burden on this Court and counsel."

If anything, the sanctions should be more, not less, because Jordan KNEW her case was frivolous.

21 February - Arizona Central reports on the Surprise! (AZ) Tea Party-sponsored "you better not try to recall the blessed St. Arpaio or "WE'LL SUE!!" stunt.

"Larry Klayman, a lawyer representing the pro-Arpaio group, said that if the recall effort continues, his group will file legal action against its organizers alleging they violated the free speech, equal protection and due process rights of the majority of county voters who re-elected the sheriff.

“There are no valid reasons for this recall petition,” Klayman said. “Nothing happened between the day of the election, the swearing-in of Sheriff Arpaio and this recall petition.”

The group called a news conference Wednesday to publicize a cease-and-desist letter it sent to recall organizers."

So basically it's a temper tantrum.

21 February - Phoenix New Times notes the birther connection with the Arpaio anti-recall effort.

"Thanks to the Arizona Corporation Commission filing for "Citizens To Protect Fair Election Results, LLC," -- which was posted by the Arizona's Politics blog -- we can see that the men on the right, Jeff Lichter (far right) and James Wise are registered as the organization's members.

Wise and Lichter are also "leaders" of the Surprise Tea Party, which successfully asked Sheriff Joe Arpaio to start the "investigation" into President Obama's birth certificate, a completely fraudulent operation carried out by the man on the far left, conspiracy-theorist Jerome Corsi.

Now, the person not pictured is the person these "birthers" have tasked with the legal work -- Larry Klayman, an attorney for Freedom Watch, who happens to be a friend of Corsi's, and a "birther" who once introduced a "birther" affidavit from Arpaio as evidence in an actual courtroom.

Now that we've made it absolutely clear that none of these people has a single shred of credibility, we'll tell you what they want.

They sent a cease-and-desist letter over to Respect Arizona, the group running the Arpaio recall effort, telling them they ought to shut it down.

Why? Because Klayman claims the recall effort is "illegal," "unconstitutional," and a "criminal recall enterprise." Believe it or not, Klayman failed to actually point out where Respect Arizona's doing anything illegal."

Since when is Klayman concerned with someone doing soming illegal?? Ignoring his deadbeat dad status, every other article by Klayman in World Nut Daily is another call for a revolt.

21 February - "Turning the Scale" calls out Dr. Orly's latest behavior.

"A quick scan of the signatures shows that many, if not most, are anonymous. If this were a legitimate petition, and not just some fake Internet exercise in mental masturbation, those “signatures” would not be counted.

On the first page alone, out of the 100 “signatures,” 40 are anonymous.

That’s 40 percent of the “signatures” on that page.

And the same ratio holds true for the second page.

So I don’t think I’m going out on a limb when I say that right off the bat, you can exclude about 40 percent of those signatories as fake. That’s more than 6,000 of those “signatures” Taitz is trumpeting.

I’ve written before on other forums that Taitz and her ilk, for all their pronouncements to the contrary, really hate the United States. They hate our democracy, they hate our freedoms, and they most of all hate that people who don’t believe in the things they do are running the show.

These petitions and law suits and Web sites and all the rest are the manifestations of that hate. Rather than applaud them and send them money, real Patriots need to expose them for the lying scamsters that they are."

21 February - Convicted felon and forger Lucas Smith has taken to harassing "Dr. Conspiracy" by publishing personal information about him and his family. (No, I'm not going to link to it this time).

Seems to me to be a clearcut case of cyberstalking. Not to mention the sleaze factor in having a known forger and felon harassing you and yours.

I will note that "Rambo Ike", which is the ONLY person I ever had to ban from Bad Fiction. is in comments making, as usual, an obnoxious ass of himself.

21 February - Salon covers the birther/Arpaio anti-recall connection.

"Klayman, who served as the attorney for conspiracy theorist website World Net Daily in a suit over an Esquire birther parody, is in good company with Arpaio: The Sheriff once assembled a “posse” of birthers to investigate Obama’s birth certificate.

“We need people like Sheriff Joe not to be intimidated by vigilantes,” Klayman said in a press conference, adding that this qualifies as “a harassment of the sheriff, such that he can no longer do his job on behalf of the people.”

Klayman went on to provide his reasoning for the suit, arguing that it’s only been one month since the election, and Arizona law states that a recall petition can’t be circulated until six months have passed.

As Resnik from the Nightly News puts it, though that is state law, ”if Klayman had consulted the Secretary of State’s election handbook, he would have seen the second sentence of the state law in big bold letters: ‘The commencement of a subsequent term in the same office does not renew the six month period delaying the circulation of petitions.’” Since Arpaio is on his sixth term, this part of the law doesn’t apply to him."

21 February - Rudy Davis feels the need to give his own opinion of the "white girls" video.

He does completely agree with the video in question. Curiously enough though, Rudy doesn't have a problem with white men seeking out filipino women. Because filipino women are "trained to be subservient to men".

So he's sexist AND racist. Got it.

22 February - Gun nuts, racism, AND birther blather, all in one!

After arguing that Obama is “not American” and not a natural born citizen, Howard maintained that Obama may begin “wiping out a few hundred people who own guns, pull a large scale Waco or a Ruby Ridge type incident” and have it “tinged it with racial overtones.” But just in case Obama goes through with his plans to “take down” the Internet, “people are setting up phone-trees all over the place” to stop Obama in his tracks.

“If Obama can take your guns away he can take your car, he can take your home, he can take your bank account, he can take your very life,” Howard said.

Unsurprisingly, Pratt agreed with their insane ramblings: “I do agree that the Obama administration would definitely be capable of something as evil as you were suggesting.”

22 February - The Phoenix New Times reports on Larry Klayman's own shady back history.

"What are the chances that a lawyer who was found by a court to have "inappropriately touched" children would try to stop the recall of a county sheriff whose agency failed to properly investigate more than 400 sex crimes?

This is quite the, um, coincidence, as we stumbled across a judgment from an Ohio appellate court, in a divorce case involving attorney Larry Klayman."

Oh dear.

"Obviously, we're talking about civil court matters here, not criminal court or criminal charges.

However, a magistrate judge weighed the evidence and found that Klayman acted "in a grossly inappropriate manner with the children."

Klayman's challenge to the attempted recall of Arpaio probably won't turn out in his favor, either."

22 February - The Raw Story reports on the recall fun in Arizona.

"Klayman is a noted conspiracy theorist and backer of the so-called “birther” movement, people who believe that President Barack Obama was not born in the U.S., and who are still unconvinced by the versions of the president’s birth certificate that have been shown to the public. He represented the website World Net Daily in a lawsuit against Esquire magazine over a piece satirizing WND, a suit that was ultimately thrown out of court.

Reporter Brahm Resnik of the Arizona Nightly News said that Citizens to Protect Fair Election Results, which is made up largely of tea party members, many of whom dabble in birtherism, may be headed for a rude awakening in court.

Klayman’s suit contends that under Arizona election law, petitions calling for the recall of an official cannot be circulated until six months after the official has been elected. Pointing to Arpaio’s re-election in November, Klayman said Respect Arizona is breaking the law.

Resnik, hoever, pointed out that the term clock does not reset with each election."

23 February - There is absolutely no conspiracy about President Obama that people like the Western Center for "Journalism" WON'T buy into.

Today's excursion into conspiracy insanity is the claim by "veteran investigative journalist Bob Powell" that the Marines that marched in President Obama's inauguration parade were "ringers" with non-functional rifles.

"On orders from the Obama administration, the bolts from the M1 rifles carried by Marines in the Inaugural parade were removed. Even more shockingly, it appears that the Marines who normally provide security and perform ceremonial functions for the President were replaced with ringers.

Some of the "Marines" that paraded in front of the reviewing stand on Inauguration Day were unshaven, their uniforms out of line and ill-fitting, and their marching skills - in the opinion of this writer and dozens of other real Marines - could easily have been bested by any 3rd phase Marine Corp recruit platoon.

I'm not 100% sure how "citizen's arrest" is defined in the different states, but in my country, it is only appropriate if the suspect is about to flee the crime scene and cannot be identified on the spot. I don't think birthers can make a case that Obama is "about the flee the crime scene any minute". After all, they claim he wants to be "dictator for life".
Then again, holding incompatible views has always been their strongest suit.

I would be careful relying on "Veterans Today," as that web page seems to have an anti-Israel agenda.

However, I am boggled at the continued birther mentality...now they're slurring the US Marine Corps, with a nonsensical idea that Obama had to bring in disarmed ringers to represent them in the Inaugural Parade. Presumably the implication is that real red-blooded All-American Leathernecks are protesting the "usurper" by refusing to march in his Inauguration parade, and staging a sit-down strike at 8th and I Streets. All of them.

I remember back in the Clinton Administration, Clinton haters peddled a tale that the Marines who guard the White House and operate the presidential helicopters were behaving in a way to show calculated disrespect to their Commander-in-Chief, refusing to salute as he got on and off Marine One. It was so bad that the Commandant issued a firm denial of the urban legend, pointing out that there was no way the Marine Corps would show calculated disrespect to their Commander-in-Chief at any time.

I am also boggled by this grandiose Facebook page planning to march on Washington to make "Citizens' Arrests." I'd like to see how they're going to do them...what, they'll grab Congressmen and Senators as they ascend the Capitol Steps and haul them off to face "Citizens' Grand Juries?" And the Congressmen will just go along and get in the SUVs and go off to trial. And what if the Congressmen say "No, I'm not going?" Are these clowns going to haul them off in cuffs at gunpoint?

What, they think the Capitol police will just stand there and let them take the Congressmen and Senators away? The FBI won't investigate? The DC police won't chase them?

And then what...they think they can take these Congressmen down to Uncle Goober's barn and hold a show trial there, and the Congressmen will just put up with it and confess their evil crimes? And still nobody will do anything about it?

These guys are planning to violate several dozen federal statutes that come with extremely severe penalties and they really believe they can geta way with it...

You know, I do hope the Feds keep an eye on this. Not because I think they'll actually be able to get their troops together and go to Washington and make these "arrests," but because I think some people who are involved with this web page, or read it regularly will get angry and frustrated when this porous plan falls apart, and go out as a "lone wolf" and massacre some innocents, like that guy Von Brunn at the Holocaust Museum in Washington.

The psychology of these people is incredible. How do people wind up in these loops of paranoia and narcissism? Were they bullied at school? Abused by parents? Mistreated by teachers? Unable to get steady work and families? What is it?
